I've been vaping an Ego for about 4 months and I like it but I want more and I'm thinking about getting a Provari. I don't like the tanks because they leak a lot. I get the best results from the clear LR cartos with the filler. Can I use them with a Provari? Also, will I need to get an adapter so I can use the same cartos I now use with my Ego?

as long as all connectors are 510 it should be no problem BUT realize the problem/ issue with the leaking tank will not be resolved. If the only problem you're having is with leaking tanks I would suggest you look into other tanks. My mom and pop sub tank doesn't leak- lay down all night and no leaks at all. The leaking tanks issue could also be your juice is too high in PG. I use 60/ 40 PG/ VG juice.
Good Luck.

Provari is what I went to from the eGo also. You won't be disappointed. Once you go VV, you never look back! Yes, you can still use the regular Boge or Smokteck cartos on the Provari, if you are talking about something like the clearomizer then you'll need an adapter to use those on the Provari, because those screw on using the eGo outter cone, which the Provari does not have. You should look into getting bigger, better tanks than that anyway. Something like this....

Naked CLear Phiniac Tank - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks Tanks like this will not leak like the clearos or Stardusts sometimes do, and you don't need an adapter for them either, and they hold more juice....but back to cartos. While you can use the LR cartos on the Provari, I'd suggest getting some 3.0 ohm cartos. You can then dial in your sweet spot!

You won't regret it if you want to purchase the Provari. As what advise by Vapoor eyes er as long is a 510 connector.. My first was the ego then i jump here and there buy PV's and ending up i like Provari the most.. i waste a lot of money doing research and hope to keep yours, just get the Provari..:toast:

I have a Smoketech DCT 1.5 tank on my ego and it doesn't leak.

The Provari is a good choice and I second the suggestion by Kay to use 3 ohm Boges with it. A 3 ohm carto at 4.2v is my favorite setting. I'm using the stainless steel cartos that match the stainless finish on the Provari and it looks great. A pot bellied SS drip tip finishes it off and makes it look like something you'd see in a jewelry counter. It's a high quality appearance.

I'll probably take the Smoketech DCT tank on the Provari to the beach next week to keep from having to top off so much. A $12.99 DCT tank might be a good purchase for you while you decide what to buy. You eGo will create good taste and vapor with the 1.5 ohm dual coil model.

These cartos screw on to the inner thread of my Ego batteries. Will I still need the adapter?

No, they will fit the Provari just fine. If the tank is like a mega type A or mega type B that screws onto the outside thread of the eGo, you will need the adapter. Provape sells that as an accessory in the configuration screen dialog.

For these...

Clear eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer, Flat Tip

you will need this....

510 Battery to eGo Atomizer Adapter

The eGo mega dual cartos have a recessed hole or a female end connection. They actually thread onto the eGo using the cone threads for an eGo. The Provari has a recessed 510 thread and no cone threads.

Now for something like this....

Dual Coil 510 Chrome Tank Cartomizer, 3.5ml

you will not need an adapter on the Provari. Can you see the difference in how the threading is exposed? Click on the far right picture.

With those 'cheap cartos' that you like (haha!) the dual coils...what you actually have are two 3.0 ohm coils working together..creating a lower resistance. You'll want to hang somewhere around the 3.7 volts. If you plan on using just those, I don't see where you would benefit from the Provari. The Provari opens up doors so you can use just about anything, because you can dial in whatever voltage is needed for whatever accessory you have. I don't know what type of 'tank' you first started with, but real TANKS, like what I've linked above have never flooded on me. The only reason I can think of for a carto to flood is overfilling. When I use JUST plain cartos, after I fill them, I put my mouth on the mouth part, and blow any excess juice out the other side into a papertowel. This gets the juice that ran over into the hole out, so I don't get it sucked up into my mouth.
