The Odin on a LP grand is a hardcore combo. You did well. Throw one of Loki's router drip tips on there and it sets it off even more.

Thanks man! Your videos have been very helpful. I like your keep it simple and easy approach. I went with the loki SS1 drip tip for a slightly different look. I also have a couple Loki stub tips around here somewhere that I can use.

Black wrinkle reo ordered! Weee!

One more question for you guys. What's the amp limit of the current reo grands?

I ordered some LG he2 batteries, looks like they have 20amp continues limit (35amp burst). I plan to shoot for a dual coil build in the 0.5ohm range but I just want to know the low limit of each component before I fire her up.

Oh, also when I run my setup though my ohms law app, should I use 3.7 volts as my "fresh battery" starting point? I seem to remember that some batteries start out higher than 3.7 when they're freshly charged.

When I use an Ohm's Law calculator, I always use 4.2v, even though the battery will drop off quickly from there. If something was wrong, you could still do damage, even though the battery doesn't stay at 4.2v for long.
My usual build is right around .5, and have had no problem.

4.2. Perfect. I thought they started higher.

By my math that means my battery should be safe down to 0.211 ohms (not that I ever intend to go that low) and get even "safer" almost immediately.

Anyone know how many amps it takes to collapse the spring?

Congratz BigB. You will love it. The Grands don't have an amp limit per say. The spring under the battery will collapse as a safety precaution if it gets too hot from sub-ohm vaping. We've had a couple of people report that the spring starts to sag (first sign of it collapsing) at just under 0.2ohms so if you stick to .25 or above you'll be good with the Grand. Your batteries on the other hand are still at risk so make sure you are doing the ohms law calculations with your batteries in mind. (which it looks like you already are) Your .5 ohms is fine. That's what I'm running as a dual coil in my new Odin on my black SL/LP Grand with sony vt4 and vt5 batteries and everything is good. Nothing getting hot except for the top cap of the Odin when chain vaping, but that's to be expected.

Welcome to Reoville.

I figured I'd practice wrapping some dual coils while I wait for my Reo so today I built a dual micro coil .7 ohm 28ga setup on my atomic and fired it on my nemesis clone. I normally run it around 1.1-1.3 ohm single coil for juice tasting.

Holy crap. I'm gonna need some much lower nic juice. Lol. My normal 18 had me spinning in just a few lung hits. I was thinking of starting with 12mg. Now I'm leaning towards 6mg.

My Odin showed up today. Looks really nice.

So my Reo Grand arrived today.

Love the size. Big battery, big juice capacity, big atty, yet compact.

Construction looks great and the design is just awesome. This mod look can odd and clunky in pictures sometimes, but in the hand, it just makes sense. It fits my fist perfectly.

I set her up with dual 1/16 micro coils. 28ga, 6 wraps. Came to 0.6 ohms. I wicked it with some Japanese cotton.

I took some 18mg nicoticket band camp and mixed it 50/50 with some VG so the nic doesn't kill me.

Vapor is big, warm, and tasty. Airflow on the Odin is great for big lung hits. Very satisfying.

Here are a few pictures:

Thanks for all of the help guys!

I'll run her for a few weeks and then try to convince the wife to let me order another lol.

Took my reo on its first real road trip yesterday.

8 hours of driving almost 300 miles and it performed very well. I went though about 10ml and two 18650's. Changing the battery when I refill the tank is working well for me.

Still working on my squonk-fu so there were a few dry hits and I had a little bit of juice come out the airflow slots but still way better than when an altitude change has caused my kayfun to piss juice all over my hand at 70mph.

I did have some trouble with dry hits when my bottle was low, but cutting a notch in the feed tube so that it wouldn't suction itself to the bottom of the bottle seems to have fixed that.

I also liked how quickly I was able to dry burn and change wicks this morning without having to empty a tank and disasemble an entire atty.

So far I'm very pleased. Big warm vapor from the Odin is very satisfying. I was at the bar last night and everyone was vaping on an ego of some kind. I kept getting asked how my mod was able to make such big clouds.
