In the Mountains
For some of us it's a hobby. I smoked for 40 years and never thought I would quit, so when I reach a milestone I want to buy something memorable - preferable expensive - to reward myself. Every 6 months I buy something different, which is how I've ended up with ProVaris, Reos, Woodvils and authentic mechanicals. Each one has it's own uses and I enjoy them all. This amount of gear is completely unnecessary, but I prefer it to collecting shoes or Coach bags. And it's all just for me, I don't know anyone outside of forums who would have a clue what I'm vaping. When I'm out and about, people I meet are far more interested in the Serenity Gear sleeves I use than what's inside of them. I have only seen one other ProVari in the wild and that was in a vape shop.

Every six months, eh? So counting up all those "ProVaris, Reos, Woodvils and authentic mechanicals," you've been quit for about 20 years? Really want a Serenity Gear sleeve. Those are just plain nice.

Rewarding yourself is awesome. Got my first ProVari for my one year vaperversary. If I quit vaping, not likely while I'm alive, I'll always keep it. For that matter, I still have the present my husband gave me for not smoking for a month. Never thought I could do it.

Not 20 years, I'm just not counting how many I got. 6 months: Provari; 1 year: Phidias/Reo; 18 months: Woodvils; 2 years: mechanicals. I think I'm going to count the P3 as 2.5 years, since I doubt anything else will come out that I want by January.

I also still have my 30 days celebration pressie, a glass drip tip! You may notice that I don't have a quit banner. It's because I found myself using anything that remotely resembled a milestone as an excuse to buy something.

Wow.

Blu, Vuse, eGo-T, CE2, CE3, Vivi Novas,

It's like a horror story. If I had to use any of those products, I would certainly walk to the store and buy some rolling tobacco.

Me too.

Lots of food for thought in this thread. I hope the OP is getting something out of it.

Sent from my device.

Though to be honest... for something that hasn't worked up till now, I certainly wouldn't be spending provari money right away.

For example. I start all my converts on an mvp. If that works for them and they want to reward themselves with something a little nicer or just get something they can count on being around for years to come... THEN I highly suggest a provari.

Don't get me wrong. I start the provoking early. Let them vape my provari first... Then other gear... before getting them all set up... so the seed is planted early.

But $40 plus a tank is all in with the mvp for the same quality vape

Vs

The tank
The provari
The charger
The batteries

Which often leaves people skimping out and likely to purchase better later due to start up cost.

If the mvp works out...

Buy a good charger first
Save up for the illustrious prothingy
Pick up a battery or two with it

And enjoy your provari and your mvp where you deem each appropriate.

You're no more likely to enjoy success from one than the other on factory coil/wick (heads) most commonly suggested.

My standards must be damn low because I smoked a pack a day and I've been vaping on the same EVODs with mini protank 2s for almost a year, only buying juice and coils every now and then.

My entire vaping hardware amounts to two EVOD batteries, one tank, coils and juice. I don't feel like I need anything else, it works, hits like a truck with 65PG and 16mg and yeah....that's it.

Everytime I hear someone who has a good product and says it's .... I'm assuming their gear is malfunctionning or they just haven't got the hang of it yet.

I feel cigarettes are so weak now, the throat hit on my 75$ setup is perfect, whenever I smoke a cigarette with a friend who offers one and I think "Oh the memories" I just puff and puff and puff and they feel so weak compared to my EVOD.

Weird.
