This might be an odd question

OK, I'm still pretty new to vaping, but I come from an analog background. Anyways, my question is in regards to vaping with liquid without a nicotine content. Most of my friends who vape never smoked cigarettes and the thought of inhaling something with nicotine makes them curl their mouth in a disgusted snarl. Having smoked, the thing I desired the most was the nicotine. Now when vaping, I love the feeling the nicotine gives as opposed to the feeling of non-nicotine filled liquid. So basically, I'm asking for anyone to explain the purpose of non-nicotine vaping.

Now I'm asking this because I'm honestly curious and I hope I don't offend anyone with what might be a stupid question. I want to further understand this wonderful world of vaping and to do that I feel like this is something I need to know. Also, I'm not saying people who vape without nicotine are inferior in anyway, I just want to make that clear. I have no ill feelings toward people who vape without nicotine, but I'm just curious. Anyways, happy vaping to everyone!

I think a lot of people who vape with no nicotine worked their way down to that, maybe with a view to quitting vaping completely or they just like the flavours and no longer need the nicotine.

A lot of people on low nicotine worked their way down to it. I've been vaping two weeks and I'm on 24mg (which is high) but I'm playing around with 18's as well. I can't imagine ever vaping with no nicotine but that's just me.

If they never actually smoked they may also have started as a way of supporting someone who did start vaping to quit. Others could be because it always appealed to them to smoke but were afraid because of the "end game" of smoking.

I've only ever met one 0 nic vaper but she used to smoke but quit before ecigs came out, her husband and parents quit with vaping though and she helps in her parents vape shop. I assume for her it was to support her family and experience to help other vapers.

I think silentscream pretty much nailed it. Most of us started vaping to quit smoking and some still don't like having the nic addiction so wean themselves down to 0. A lot of those folk continue to vape for the hand to mouth, the ritual and flavors. I've come across very few non-smokers who took up vaping, generally figuring the flavors would help them with dieting. How effective that last is, I have no idea

For her 18th birthday, my daughter asked for her own mod setup. She's a non-smoker. She took an interest in my vaping setups and my juice flavors, and I would allow her to "sample" my new flavors when I got them. Her BF was a smoker, as was her older brother. Several of her hang-out friends were smokers. So when she asked for her own mod setup to vape flavored zero-nic e-liquid I saw this as an opportunity to possibly divert a potential smoker to vape instead.

In the few months since she has been vaping, both her BF and brother have begun vaping. (I tried and tried to get my son to try vaping, but nooooo....but my daughter is persuasive). A few of the friends are now vaping, too. Even her mother (my ex) has begun using my MVP, which I decided to loan out to her since she was "stealing" my daughter's mod when she ran out of cigarettes.

So, yeah. Vaping zero-nicotine for flavors has it's benefits according to my daughter. She now doesn't feel out of place when with her smoking friends. Vaping allows her to relax and concentrate while studying. She likes how vaping a flavor helps her to cut down on her snacking on junk food or candy.

I took up vaping to get off analogs, and my plan is to eventually get to 0 nic. I just don't want it in my system. I'm at.06 and my next big orders will be 0. When I had stop cold turkey a few years ago, but I missed the act of smoking. After 40 yrs, I still have that oral fixation, I enjoy the act of smoking. I don't see me ever stopping, it's my version of pipe or cigar smoking.
