I'm next. Move over Russ. :)

I grew up in northern NY right on the border with Canada. It was a happy country upbringing running through cow fields and building forts in the hay mow. It was a small world but it felt unlimited. The sun felt warm and the smells strong, the breezes gentle. When I was in fourth grade the family moved to western NY near Buffalo. It was small town. Small town America with plenty of play mates to run our bikes around the streets, catch frogs but be sure to be home at 5 for dinner or else! I had a paper route and went to work at the age of 15 on a golf course doing grounds maintenance while attending high school.

From the age of 16-30 I pretty much tried to kill myself. I was extremely self destructive but by the grace of God go I. I really should be dead. ..seriously dead if one can be seriously dead as compared to sorta dead. After this I straightened out and life has not had the highs and lows but its much easier and more fulfilling.

I worked in the photographic field in various capacities for over 30 years and ended up with a studio that I had for about 10 years. I did a little bit of everything. I live near Albany NY and one does not make a living photographing hands or food alone so a generalist I was. I am 90% retired and enjoy it immensely.

I enjoy time with friends (which are few but very close), reading, movies, photography and learning my way around a kitchen.

I am divorced but the ex and I are best of friends and have supported each other for these past 33 years. She comes to all my families events so thats all good. Great lady to say the least.

I have two brothers and one sister. My parents are in their mid 80s. They live about 1/2 mile away so we go there often and can lend a helping hand as they still in the house they built for themselves 25 years ago. The family sticks together and everyone gets along.

I have a daughter and 2 grandchildren. They live near Cape Town in South Africa. Her husband is involved in politics and is a great guy. She is a writer. I'm pretty good at Jeopardy and one of my pleasures is watching it with her and having her beat my pants off. How did that baby get so smart I'll never know! She turned out to be a very loving, caring person that I am extremely proud of.

About a year ago I started having hip problems. It hasn't gotten any better and it has limited my physicality a lot. I've always been a fairly physical person. I am trying to hold out until I can go on Medicare which is a little over a year from now. Hopefully I can get fixed up and be more mobile than I am now. Five minutes or so of standing or walking and the pain in my back becomes unbearable.

I started on Reos over 3 years ago. Big fan!

"Hold fast to your dreams for if they die life is a broken winged bird that can not fly"..Langston Hughes

Peace. I'm out.

I will loosely follow the template set by Russ.

I'm Jason, 36 years old. Originally, I'm from Moodus Connecticut, but my mom and stepdad moved down here to Tampa in 86. We had to leave Ct due to my amazing stepdad running from arrest warrants from his drug dealings..

I grew up here in a couple of crappy trailer parks while my mother tried keeping track of my 2 sisters, 1 brother, and (again) amazing stepdad. Oddly, I am the only one that has no arrest record..

I dropped out of school and went to work at 15 years old to help support my family while my stepdad was on his fifth vacation ( jail, dui)

I moved out on my own at 17, then fornicated my way through countless barflies till I met my ex-wife. We were married when I was 26. We have 2 sons..
Ethan, now 9
Avery, now 7.
Our divorce was finalized 2 months before alimony day (5 years here in Florida). We actually get along pretty well, strange..

I met Leah 4 years ago. She was, at that time, the part time after hours dispatcher for the plumbing company that I work for. We have now been together for 3 years. It was stressful going to our boss to explain things, we managed to keep it secret for almost a year.
She loves my sons, and they adore her. We all spend a lot of time mountain biking, quad riding, and 100 pin WII bowling LOL. We will be getting married later this year

I picked up vaping after 20 years of Newports, and picked up my first Reo after 3 months of screwing with egos, the SID, and other tube mechs.
Started out at 36 mg Nic, and am already down to mainly zero and 3 mg liquids..
That's all for now LOL.

Now, with the MX guys talkin, I have to do a family shot :thumb:

Alright - once SXD mentioned a passion for motocross I couldn't resist.

I'm Chris - Just turned 51 yesterday. Borne and grew up in Bath Maine until I was 7. That year after a hard winter, the power had been out for 3 weeks an the chill factor was 70 below. Dad was out getting wood for our 3 fire places to keep the place warm and one morning when his spit cracked before it hit the ground, he said that's it. Called his brother in Washington State who said the bluest sky's are in Seattle and it doesn't snow there - I've been here ever since - 44 years now.

rode BMX and motocross for 25 years. I lived and breathed for it until I became crippled with osteoarthritis and could hardly walk for a couple of years. I was riding open class and hitting the track once and a while when I gave it up.

I spent most of my younger years like a parting fool. 20 years clean and sober now with the exception of better living through modern chemistry due to my osteoarthritis.

I worked restaurants and construction for 9 years until finally getting the job I have now.. 27 years with the same company. Started as an electronics assembler and worked my way up through the high speed placement machines until getting ejamacated and becoming a full fledged Ultrasound Repair Technician. Some formal education in motorcycle mechanics as well. Dad was a machinist for 40 years and some of that rubbed off as well.

I live with 2nd my wife - married 19 years now. She works at the county court. (Keeps me out of trouble).

I have 3 kids - 2 girls and 1 BIG boy from my first wife. I can't say more about that right now (being a gentleman you see).

We have a nice house in Marysville with a panoramic view overlooking a farm valley.

Taking it one day at a time and thoroughly enjoying this new vaping hobby. I've been clearing space for a machine shop just for that. :)

The last bad boy I bought of the showroom floor. 97 Honda CR500 (Dirt Dragster - MONSTER)

I am not sure whether or not I would call your uncle a liar or not... If he was referring to bluest sky on a 365 day average... hes a liar the sky is grey about 80ish % of the year... now if he was talking about absolute bluest on the rare occasions when the clouds are gone, the sun is present and the sky is clear, then i guess i could give him that...

sorry i was reading through this... and i stopped... completely when i read that... remembered the multiple occasions of a blue sky and down pouring rain...

i had to comment on that... no offense intended... i am just not a huge fan of this state, between the weather, the roads/traffic/i5, and the over reactive government...

i shall post my nice little story once i am off of work and have the time to put a proper me story up here...

again hope i didnt offend

X - I had the pleasure (not) of riding a I think 2000 CR 500 a few months back up here in the hard clay.

I'm not really sure I can say I rode it - I just putted it around in 2nd gear only engaging the powerband one time exiting a sandy bermed corned (that I destroy on my 125) and it nearly pulled itself out from under me. They are sick bikes. The dude that owns it is a crazy South African. He rides it like he just stole it.

I just sold my mint 01 CR 125. I miss it already :)

Good story bro. :)

LT, sounds like we come from similar places my good man. I mean Bro :)

It's funny how most of us who grew up up north (Jay too) turned into freaks in our teen years, rode it until our 30's then settled down.

Great story LT. I'd never have guessed you were just like me as a kid. You seem very polished now :)

My name is Paul and I'm 29yo. I live in westchester county , New York and Work in NJ, right over the GWB.

I am newly single and enjoying it. No kids or anything like that yet.

I attended Jesuit Highschool in the bronx, which was a shock, having attended only public schools prior. This is when I first started smoking, behind the gym during free periods, trying to outsmart the deans who patrol campus. Went to Boston University after that. Boston is a great place to go to school.

Wanted to go to culinary school after and eventually open up my own restaurants, but my father had a stroke in 2007, leaving his left side paralyzed. It was dicey at times, but my family pulled together, had to fight the insurance company on everything. They wanted to put him in a nursing home, fought them and got him into one of the best rehab facilities in the city. He made a great recovery, but still doesn't have 100% motion on his left side. Luckily, his speech, memory and cognitive functions were not affected.

So I moved back home to help run the business and help take care of my father. The stroke and everything that went with it, turned out to be a hidden blessing. My father worked outrageous hours and I hardly got to see him. We were all busy with plans for the future, my brother and I were at school, and when we were home, we were out with friends. Now that life isn't as easy as it was before, I get to really notice all the things you take for granted. Finally taking the time to think about what life and happiness meant to me and all the little things that compound to change you.

I have been playing guitar since the age of 10 and is my primary hobby, but not as of late. I also enjoy any shooting sports, I do mostly trap & skeet. I build and overclock pc's and at one time was a very serious Counter Strike player, glad I grew outta that one. I am a religious follower of the British Premiere league and anything soccer related.

I'm loving not being a smoker, something I thought I would always be. Vaping has become a great hobby for me and has brought me to my beloved Reoville, so that can't be bad. Vape On, and often.

Yea, my uncle was a real character. The skies are nice a blue but only when you can see them. I hope to retire someplace cheap, sunny and warm. :)

Central Florida is all three of those things. I do not regret my move EVER. I scooped up my townhouse in an awesome area with "A" schools and a gated community for $72,500. Pool is open year round and is 30 steps from my front door.

Hey all,
Drew here, I’m 52 been married for 28 years with 3 children, 1 boy, 2 girls. Oldest is a Sgt in the Marines middle one graduates from college this year, youngest still has few years to go and is looking forward to being 21 this year. We live in the Chicago area, spent several years in Clearwater FL but missed the people, food and change of seasons so we moved back 20 years ago.

Was a wild thing when I was younger, 22 trips to the ER by the age of 18. First one was in 2nd grade, got slapped by a girl, fell into a bush and a dead branch punctured an artery. If I walked in the house yelled mom, she’d yell back “Don’t get blood on the carpet, how many stiches do you need?” Never thought I’d live to be 35 and it didn’t bother me.

In my late teens I work at Caddy and Benz dealers near Hallis hall, the bears practice field. I used to drive several of them to practice and pick them when their cars where done. Regularly got to talk with Payton, Singletary, Dent etc. Needless to say I’m a huge Bears fan.

About 20% of the time I’m home office based. I work for a large high tech manufacturer and spend a lot of time traveling.

I’m a geek and love to read, learn new things and screw with stuff, I’ve always got a project going. My dad was Machinist, so I’ve always been good with tools. A few years ago got into building jeeps and off-roading, now I get my adrenaline rush at 3mph. I have two heavily modified Rubicon’s and do almost all of my own mods. Still want to learn welding, it would be so handy.

I’d quit smoking cigs for about 2 years when my wife said “hey your inhaling that cigar” started smoking cigs again since they were healthier than inhaling cigars. One of my daughter’s college friends turned me on to vaping. I started with 36mg preloaded cartos, and move on to Ego, Darwin, eVic etc. Landed on dripping and finally found Reos. January 15th was my 3 year vape anniversary.

Love being part of Reoville.

I am so jealous!!! Oh my god!!! I would sell so many various things to spend an hour with Payton... he is my everlasting hero. I was born in 88, I grew up outside of Chicago in an awful suburb.

I watched basketball in the era of Jordan... I could play basketball for days... Was pretty good too... always watched and loved football, but never got big on it until later...

While I had basketball and football to distract me I didnt raise too much hell... however when I wasnt I would raise all the hell possible. I was too smart for my own good. School bored me, I knew grasped and comprehended 90% of the class after skimming through the textbook once...

I am extremely gifted in the realms of science and math where things do not change, things are mostly constant... I would cause trouble most of the time because i was bored....

I got into too much trouble caused too many issues, had to spend an extra year in high school to graduate.

I went back and forth on joining the Army a few different times, a year out of hs i finally settled on it and was going to enlist in the reserves as a mechanic, go to college in the city with my friends as roommates...

after taking the military's standard aptitude test (asvab) every job was available to me...

things started to not go the way they were supposed to and i chose my job in Military Intelligence, because it sounded difficult, complicated, was Top Secret, had a wash out (failure) rating of 50-75 %, and the recruiter couldnt tell me much about it...

not going to talk much about my job, but have been in the Army for 6 years, have been to South Carolina, Texas, Korea, Kentucky/Tennessee, Washington, Afghanistan, Washington.

uh not too sure what all to say... ummm got a stupid expensive mall cig a like set up in 2010, didnt work for me, maybe gave a vape a try here and there through 2013... bought a ego vv2 mega and an evod, got my wife into it, engraved ego, and ts3, discovered mbv and got a mini pt2, more liquid from mbv, got diy kit/supplies galore, ordered mini pt2 from china for my wife, for price she wanted cheaper... got svd and kanthal, 3 mm silica, pt2, batteries, charger, got another ego, didnt really get much, didnt really get much, then got 2 aga t2s to take a step further, then got interested in the reo and got the wonderful gifts of the reo mini, rm2, etc etc etc, my wife has adopted everything that i have stopped using the second i stop... didnt even have the aga t2s a week before the reo showed up...

now im saving for the reo grand... hoping rob has a black with silver door blem when i have enough, planning on getting a brass rm2 (to replace the current regular rm2, and a brass button cover) this payday to make my precious look even more amazing...mahogany on brass... (need to find a good brass or brass colored drip tip too, maybe wide bore????) then again hoping for black with silver door reo grand and an aluminum button cover... to keep it sharp of course...

so i think that covers it... still jealous... been on my mind this whole time... Payton... ah so jealous...

Walter was always happy. He always greeted you like he was excited to see you and that you had just made his day. First time I meet him both he and Otis Wilson brought their cars in. I was to take them to practice and bring the car back. Otis drove to practice, Walter riding shotgun and me in the back just listening to them. Priceless!

If I could go back in time for anything, but it couldn't be anything to effect any real outcomes and could only be a short amount of time, and a brief interaction... i would go and meet/interact/shake his hand... hes not just my favorite running back of all time, hes not just my favorite bears player of all time, hes not just my favorite athlete of all time, he is one of my favorite people of all time... not for what he did on the field, for what he did off... i wish i could have met him...

Old farm boy here. Grew up outside a small town in Missouri where I went to school and fought every guy my size or bigger at least once. Was an ornery, strong kid from farm work, playing football and rugby, riding horses, bucking bulls and broncs, you name it! Lived fast and hard up into my forties. Drank boatloads of beer, chased women, raced cars and raised hell all through college and a successful career.

Got clean and sober thirteen years ago and managed to not lose my loving wife of 25 years and three kids. Our oldest boy is a law enforcement officer, the other two are a bit more free spirited and independent but successful.

I'm 57 and considerably slower than I used to be. Quit the corporate world almost 15 years ago and started my own business doing home remodels. Love the work and get to do some pretty cool projects. When not working, I'm a NASCAR fan, football fan, woodworker, and I read a lot. Looking for an RV to renovate lately.

Smoked for 36 years, mostly cigs and an occasional cigar. Tried to quit many times without success until I started vaping. I have one Reo Grand, anodized, well used, beat up, but dependable.

Name is Josh, 22 years young from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Currently enlisted in the Army stationed in South Korea. I grew up racing motocross from the age of 6. I love anything with a motor and wheels, adrenaline junky that's for sure. My dad put me on my first dirt bike at the age of 4 which was an old XR 50. I raced until the age of 16 when I decided to give it up from being broken more times than I can count and the financial strain on my dad. In 2001 I won the Pennsylvania state championship, District 5 overall, and West Virginia state championship. My last year of racing I had over 20 sponsors, I should've stuck with it because I probably could of made something decent out of it. I still ride to this day, but not motocross, i'll do some GNCC races to keep myself planted on the ground haha. Well enough about me, that about sums it up haha.

I saw the title and really didn't think we'd get responses in here

I'm Dave. Shockingly lived to be 41 so far. I am in the "did stupid things when young" group. Nothing extreme...but I am amazed I got to where I am. Was married a short time, only good thing I got out of that is 50% child time and I pay a lot more than my fair share ;) My girl is 13 and amazing. She keeps me running, and she makes me proud. I never have enough time, and I always have too many things to do. I traveled a lot for work for a few years, but that is slowed quite a bit these days, so this summer I will resum hobbies. I like to protect the world from paper at a distance by putting holes in it. I also have a Jeep for offroad and a bike I haven't been able to ride in two years, and it is coming out this year. With that, I have to tell you knobby tire guys...you are doing it wrong ;)

I would love a dirt bike or enduro honestly, but I am thinking of something a litlte more relaxed for cruising. NOW I know I got old.
