Well, I guess my spelling mistake cancels everything out. How is it spelled, duush?
I've really never understood grammar nazis, or the like. I DO understand it in scientific, academic, or professional situations. That makes perfect sense. However, when we are dealing with the casual/social/entertainment arenas......why should ANYONE care how other people speak/write/etc?
If it bothers you that much, just don't read/listen to it/them. Why makes threads about it....or how you see elsewhere people constantly correcting punctuation, spelling, etc. It never made sense to me.
Language itself is really an Art form, not a science. Therefore, how one chooses to express himself is just part of his or her own artistic expression. I personally find many accents, dialetics, mannerisms, etc really intriguing. They add uniqueness to dialogue. Even slang, shorthand, emoticons etc, all have their place.
Resistance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Resistance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People, the correct way to speak the "ohm number" or a device or coil, is IMPEDANCE. Not ohmage.
It is a measure of resisistance, thus it "Impedes" the flow of electrons.
I've recently seen two well respected popular reviewers use the term ohmage and it seriously makes them look like complete amatuers.
