Hi all -- quick question: I have the Stealth Edition, a standard satin black and an old v.2 black I'd bought off the classies to use for a custom paint job. The Stealth is a deeper black than the standard (but I was expecting that), but the old v.2 I just received appears to be glossy rather than satin. Now I'm not sure I want to have it painted over! Is this the "chrome black" I once saw someone mention?

I could do that tomorrow, but I was pretty much hoping for an "olbie" answer...as in: that's how it used to look. But thanks for answering. :D It is a shinier finish for sure. But I'm curious as to what the "chrome black" was. That really doesn't make sense to me!
Chrome black would usually be high gloss mirror finish

Have you tried Google Images?

I have. I've gone several pages deep in quoted search and not found a decent shot. If it's only "glossy" that's cool. It's still a lovely finish, unlike the satin. Every "black chrome" shot I found showed a standard alongside a chrome. No minis, or "black chromes." I'm still going to email ProVape tomorrow about this little one.

Here's a link from a thread back in 2011, and these people are talking about the Black Chrome Provari - this particular post has a good picture, and later some are talking about the finish wearing off...

Be very careful with it (although I'm sure you will be). ProVape discontinued the chrome finishes because they weren't durable. My guess would be that the black chrome is the least durable of what was produced. While I'm sure the ProVape finish was of better quality, everything I have gotten in black chrome, no matter the item or vendor, has worn very quickly.

I've got a black chrome Vamo.
Hang on...it's way in the back...don't use it much...

Actually I kinda like it.
If it didn't have that weathered look, I might have sold it off...but like this
a) It's got character
and
b) who'd buy it?

lol

Why do some women spend hundreds of dollars on distressed jeans?

Why do some people spend thousands of dollars on distressed leather couches?

It's all how you market it... ;)
