still two completely different issues. The juice I have tried in every device I have...T3's CE5s, Stallion cartos....the only thing it does well in is my SS cartos...they are 2.6 ohms and if I just put it in a used carto it does ok. Let's just forget about the juice for now..LOL

2.6 is where I prefer to vape. I simply don't understand even the concept of high voltage, low resistance vaping.. it seems silly to me. I don't need it. Frankly I don't even know why I'm bothering with this crap...LOL. I guess I just figured if I was going to have these fancy expensive mods I should see what all the hoopla was about.....but I'm more than happy with the experience I get from a good carto tank. Phiniac by far makes the best I've tried and well worth the price. I think maybe another reason I was hoping to get the RBA thing to work is purely shallow and superficial.....have you SEEN the photos of the Arrow on a BaGua?????? LOL

(what makes it even MORE shallow and superficial is the fact that I rarely leave the house and I certainly would not take my BaGua out in public...for fear it would get lost or damaged. So I'm the only one that will ever see this stuff....well...the dogs...but ...you know.....they're dogs. )

We get to see the pictures though! Believe me, I still prefer my regulated mods (Provari and my Semovar) so I'm not going to try and push you into a sub-ohm coil or anything. Like I said, I try and keep my voltages below 4v. I've just found that the rebuildables do seem to respond differently than the carto's. On my Z-Atty, a 1.8 ohm coil seems to give me the best result at the "normal" 3.7 volts. To get that, I use the (I think it's 32g) wire that originally came with it with 4 full wraps plus the "legs" which is considered a 4/5 wrap. If I'm being too specific, please don't think I'm being demeaning. This is where it would be really cool to be able to meet up and play with this stuff together.

Sounds like that batt. can't get that mass of wire glowing, lori.
Let me assure you, RBA/DA's done correctly blow cartos out of the stratosphere. Although, that journey to the correct setup can make a hefty number of folk be like, WGAF about this anymore. Heh, when I first tried them, I wanted to personally hunt down any and everyone who recommended rebuild-able anything. Oh, but when I transcended that line, when my exp. surpassed my lack of...wow...

As you are clearly at your wits end (or near) with them, I will not push further. As far as your juice question, could be that batch, there are so many variables that I have no inclination of, save for what you told me.

Yes I agree!!! That is what makes this so frustrating is not being able to see it hands on. And don't worry about being too specific, that is very helpful.

Is what I am trying to work with. And I'm using the same number of wraps that you are. Maybe they are too far apart?

Thanks for the input System....I didn't see your post when I first wrote this. I really think it's the brand of juice because it's something I noticed about the first sample I got but I went ahead and ordered one flavor. I loved the flavor but also noticed the tendency to feel and taste like it was burning when all other variables were the same. IE...same setup I always use with my Halo or PipeSauce. But then I got another sample and loved that so much I tried one more order but raised the VG from 30% to 50% thinking that would help...but it actually made it worse..so I'm baffled. LOL

Loose, apart, take your pick. I'm not even so sure that the Neg. and Pos. are fully connected. I am NOT calling you or assuming you are stupid, It's just I can only see that vertical view.

Now, do they even get warm when firing? Activate power and touch them...

With a triple wrap of wick like that, it winds up a lot thicker than I use (about 3mm diameter total) I'd try removing a coil wrap. The spacing looks good.
From what I've gathered by reading the micro-coil thread, the coils being very close/touching actually helps heat the whole coil faster/more evenly. Just looked it up because I'm not that smart yet, .2mm is closest to 32g wire.

see that's the thing....that is actually HALF of what the device came with..it's an Octopus....so it had 8 strands of wick.

And oh yes...they are connected...LOL. THere is a hole through each post that the wire passes through and then back up to wrap around the post. Then tighten the screws.

Yes it gets warm . Warm enough in fact to leave slight discolored marks on the coil. I will try a different mod...it's possible the center pins are not matching, although I did already try it on a VV device at 3.6 with the same lack of results. 3.6 is as low as this one goes. I'm not sure about the Innokin I have..how low it goes....but if this is that much of a PITA then it's not really worth it to me since I don't use VV devices much.

45 minutes and it's nap time for me and the dogs....I'll check back later this evening. THanks for the help!

God I wish I could take a nap in the middle of the day... I'll do what I can to help you through this LK, it's frustrating I know.

I have to admit.....I'm a little leery of mass produced Chinese "mods". At least for that price. I have a simple SMOK telescope mech mod that spacekitty gave me and I just love it. Works flawlessly everytime...no dicking around with any adjustments etc. But for VV..Im just not sure. I guess it all depends on the company...I mean don't take me wrong...Chinese is not inherently bad.....but mass produced can be. I bought one of the first Innokin iTaste kits...with the magnetic heads...and remain pretty unimpressed. It works...most of the time. But the fit and finish of the machine work just is not there. Some of the heads work....some don't....sometimes it fires...sometimes it doesn't. For $170 that thing better fire every time AND do the dishes...LOL

Dropping them will kill them yes. It even kills these little SmokeStik batteries. It breaks the solder joints. You know I watched a couple reviews on that Innokin 134 beast.....and was almost ready to buy one just for the hell of it......until he got to the fixed atty pin. That's a deal breaker for me. Especially at almost $200 !

If you're going to pay $200 go SvoeMesto. Everything is adjustable on it.

Sent care of the guys that made Star Trek low tech.
