So I have been using a small glass cup of distilled water and was rinsing my dropper in it, of course making sure I emptied it as much as possible before, but Ive noticed that it doesn't take much to taint the water with a flavor that you may not want in your next mix. TFA Western for example is very strong and only a fraction of a drop will make your water taste like this and you can actually taste it in your next mix. I didnt figure this out for awhile until I repeated a mix that I knew was good and I could taste it. Who knows how many good mixes that I didnt like just because my water was not clean.

What about just using a different dropper for each flavor and then thoroughly washing them after? I use a different syringe for each flavor.

+1 I use a different syringe for each flavor too. Tractor Supply down the road from me has 3ml syringes for $0.29 each. I bought 30 for about $9.00

Cheers,
Steve

not that organized :) I have about a 100 flavors in a drawer. What do you have to keep them organized with their own syringe? Truth is I don't need a syringe, just a little pipette to make 5ml mixes and I guess I thought it was quicker to just use one and rinse. I guess I should have known better to rinse it in the same water I was using to dilute VG. I'm just surprised any flavor comes through being diluted in so much water and im only using 5% in my mix. oh well, Im glad I figured it out because I was blaming my clearomizers

I reuse the same syringe for flavors. I put a small bowl of clean tap water and an empty bowl down on the table when I mix. After I use a flavor I wipe the outside of the syringe with a paper towel and then draw fresh water from the bowl into the syringe. Then dispense it into the empty bowl to flush it out. I repeat this maybe three or four times. Then I pump the syringe on the last flush into the empty bowl to make sure any residual moisture is out of it.

Ive mixed this way for a long time now and never had an issue with flavors... unless I forgot to flush out the syringe. Saves cleaning up later and repeated trips to the sink.
