OK, it's getting close to re-order time for Kanthal.

I've been using 30ga on my regulated mods, but what about now? I only vape The King and the others are broken.

30ga or 28ga for the re-order?

I've been using some kanthal that was included with various drippers (in the goody bags), to last me until I re-order. IDK what gauge they are. I checked them with a meter, so it's safe. But they all were thicker/stiffer than my 30 ga. But they drink batteries!

Would 30ga be OK with a mech? I want lots of wraps for surface area, but not too much resistance for the mech. Seems a kerfuffle. What are your recommendations?

Thanks!

PS Today was cleaning day! Baking soda/water and a toothbrush followed by an alcohol flush. vaping like a champ!

28 is always good. I really enjoy 28g twisted it gives off a great vape and not to ridiculously low on the ohmage. I like 26g if I want to get down in the .35 range, but thats getting to my limit of where I want to be.

I just mean that when I started rebuilding for my toppers, KFL's, STM's, bottom fed drippers, top dripper, and a couple Erlkönigin clones, that I started with 1/16" dia. coils w/ 30 gage wire, and tried over time, different dia. coils with a different gage wire. I had 30g, 29, 28 gage. You just have to experiment to see what works best for you. As I said, my coils are just single coil 1 strand wire, nothing fancy. What you are wanting out of your s/u will determine how you want to build. I just want a more cig like experience. YMMV. If you are looking for volumes of vapor, a good starting point might be what rhelton suggests, and go from there. There are good threads here on ecf that pretty well cover the different builds you can browse thru here: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forums/coil-builds.836/
Also a good local B&M can help out.
Be sure you are aware of just what your battery will handle, there is a lot of good reading on that subject also.

It can take a little time to get to where you want to be, but you'll get there. :)

Thin wire like 32,30,28g heats very quickly, cools fast, but doesn't cover a lot of surface area.
28g is a good all around size.
I use a lot of 28 and 26g for drippers on mechs and thinner wire for use with regulated mods and RBA tanks.

And a thumbs up for Youde (UD) IGO RDAs.
I have several and they are very well made for the price.
The IGO L with drilled air hole and the stock W6 are two of the best atomizers I've used.

Sweet mod.
Even better atty!
454 is one of my go to attys. when built right it'll do it all. Thick rich flavor and weather changing clouds.
I know man its a good one, ive had the atty for over a year now its a authentic one. Its great on a mech and even good with a single clapton on a regulated device. I got the atty when I saw the first review of it, it was a great buy. I am impressed by the mod, I think I will buy a CAM mod after having this one, I really like how they just use the washer for a no fuss battery rattle fix it works good on the KSS.
