That is correct. So, according to Steam Engine, I should build at 0.9 ohms to get 19.6 watts from a fresh battery.
Sound correct? Just looking for a starting point.
OK, cheap crap got me off the stinkies. But I'm tired of them breaking and not being user-fixable.
I think I am ready for a mech mod.
I want a cheap mech
You need to reassess your priorities. If you are tired of cheap crap, then why are you investigating 12$ tubes? I would love to tell you "buy once, cry once", but as you can see from my signature, even expensive vape gear fails...even mechs. My advice, since you're going the mech route, is whatever you buy, make sure they also have spare parts kits including o-rings, switches, springs, insulators, and top caps for sale. Buy spares, if you truly want your device to be user serviceable.
As for Mech life....for me, t's basically forgetting to not properly lock your switch and then smelling burning until you realize you just cooked a hole in your pocket or bag. ..that and carrying two extra bats. everywhere.
I just find it ironic he considers a 12$ tube and upgrade from anything.
Where were you guys a few days ago? I got the mech today and have been happily vaping for the past 3 hours. No, not chain vaping, just puffing away as usual.
@BadNinja
The King Clone is working great. Took it apart and cleaned it for safety, put my first mech-built coil dripper on there, and it rocks. I'm vaping at 1.2 ohms, dual coil 28ga and loving it. Others may chide me for using those specs, but I'm liking it and not exceeding the C-rating on the battery. Still on the first battery, too. Dunno how long it will last, but it's kicking IMHO.
Thanks!

It is rvs threaded.
Because if you paid $220 for the real King and then held a $12 clone in your hands you would REALLY cry.
The clones are almost identical at a fraction of the price. About 1/20th.
You don't need spare parts for a $12 clone. You buy a spare clone.
Mechs are for people who pay attention and understand the gear they are using.
Putting an unlocked mech in your pocket is like cocking a pistol and putting it in your pocket.
Thanks John. Where did you get yours from? I want to see if they have the SS version.
I got it here:
https://88evape.com/shop/mechanical-mods/king-v2-style-mechanical-mod/
It's the same link BadNinja gave me, and it's the SS version only.
