OK, thanks. I looked that one over. TWo questions:

1. Does it have a magnetic switch?
2. Can I throw everything in the dishwasher?

-and- bonus question:
3. Can I repair it with common hardware store stuff.
Do NOT put in dishwasher as the diswashing detergent can be destructive to metals in the mod.

WOWZER!!! This King mod hits great! Just got it, cleaned it, already built for it yesterday, put it together, adjusted it, and WOW!

I love mech mods!

Thank you guys so much for recommending this to me.

Now, tell me more about "mech life". Or is there a thread already?

Thanks!

OK, cheap crap got me off the stinkies. But I'm tired of them breaking and not being user-fixable.

I think I am ready for a mech mod.

I want a cheap mech

You need to reassess your priorities. If you are tired of cheap crap, then why are you investigating 12$ tubes? I would love to tell you "buy once, cry once", but as you can see from my signature, even expensive vape gear fails...even mechs. My advice, since you're going the mech route, is whatever you buy, make sure they also have spare parts kits including o-rings, switches, springs, insulators, and top caps for sale. Buy spares, if you truly want your device to be user serviceable.

As for Mech life....for me, t's basically forgetting to not properly lock your switch and then smelling burning until you realize you just cooked a hole in your pocket or bag. ..that and carrying two extra bats. everywhere.

Because if you paid $220 for the real King and then held a $12 clone in your hands you would REALLY cry.
The clones are almost identical at a fraction of the price. About 1/20th.

You don't need spare parts for a $12 clone. You buy a spare clone.

Mechs are for people who pay attention and understand the gear they are using.

Putting an unlocked mech in your pocket is like cocking a pistol and putting it in your pocket.

Where were you guys a few days ago? I got the mech today and have been happily vaping for the past 3 hours. No, not chain vaping, just puffing away as usual.

@BadNinja
The King Clone is working great. Took it apart and cleaned it for safety, put my first mech-built coil dripper on there, and it rocks. I'm vaping at 1.2 ohms, dual coil 28ga and loving it. Others may chide me for using those specs, but I'm liking it and not exceeding the C-rating on the battery. Still on the first battery, too. Dunno how long it will last, but it's kicking IMHO.

Thanks!

john, glad you are happy with the king. i`m coming in a little late to this thread but wanted to say that the Nzonic made by Ehpro is a rock solid bulletproof mod. i bought one a couple years ago and it is still like new. there are so many nice mech mods at cheap prices that its hard not to buy a few. :toast:

Dang John, if there was a minimum C rating for that battery I doubt you'd be hitting it! At that point you're vaping evaporation.

In all seriousness, vape what makes you happy. The King clone is one of the best mechs I've ever used, authentic or clone. I have mine sitting beside me with my Stumpy rda with a single .45 Ω coil and some blackberry cheesecake. Personal favorite setup for me

Is the knurled version of the King clone the V3? Is the locking ring reverse threaded? I think the previous versions were not reverse threaded, correct?
Actually, in looking at the one at 88eVape, it's knurled but listed as a V2, and doesn't say if the locking ring is reversed threaded or not. I'm all confused on the different versions of these.

Exactly, I finally had a $14 nemi clone with several small problems finally give out and head to the parts box, dented up button mashed at an angle lol, I think 26 months was a good run for a mod that cost less then a couple packs of smokes and spent 75% of its time on construction and remodeling jobs.
