To squonk or not to squonk...

I raved about my VT Inbox at first, but I've found myself going back to using my non-squonk mods. Not so much because of how much liquid I go through using the Inbox, but because I find the flavor is so much better using my kayfun and Goon attys. Especially the Goon with a Trinity glass cap... Nothing beats it! I think I just need to find an BF pin equipped atomizer that delivers the same level of flavor.

I have a Psyclone Hadaly clone and an authentic Hadaly, but I haven't bothered opening the authentic, since I'm not impressed with the clone. I also have a Oumier 22mm WASP, but I haven't open it either. If I'm not going to be able to achieve the level of flavor from the squonk-ready attys, I just assume sell them off and stick with a standard non-squonker mod.

Please advise! I love to squonk, but I'm just not feeling the love...

Look for a BF RDA with a small vaporizing chamber, they tend to provide the best flavor.

The Hadaly is comparatively small, though not much different (in size) than the Trinity glass cap on the Goon RDA. Could the liquid be picking up some "funk" from the juice being stored in a plastic bottle?

Why not BF your Goon??

Goon is a good BF choice. Dead Rabbit is better so mine are retired but I loved them.

I don't have a BF pin for the Goon. Here's the thing... I think most would say that the Hadaly produces "better" flavor (or just as good) as the Goon, so why does the Hadaly (clone) perform so poorly when used with the VT Inbox? Could it be because the Hadaly is a clone? Like I said, I have an authentic Hadaly, but I don't want to open it, if it's not going to perform any better than the clone. Plus, I don't think the 22mm Hadaly is available any longer.

Who cares what "most would say"? I have goons, Hadalys, nardas, hakus, armors, drops....the list goes on. I vape the ones I like the best. Not everyone would agree with my 1-10 ranking of these attys, but as far as my preferences go, my ranking is absolutely perfect.
To me, as good as the goon is, it's at the bottom of my list. If it's the greatest atty you've ever used, bottom feed a goon. They sell the pins. It'll take you approximately 45 seconds to turn your goon into a bf goon.

That's a real possibility, some prefer to use glass because of the off taste from storing in plastic so possibly could get an off taste from the short time in the mod.

Yeah... That's seems like what's happening. I can't think of any other reason for the difference in flavor.

Quite true....not all bottles are created equal.

I use all glass now but would boil my plastic bottles with a bit of white vinegar added to the water.

It could be down to the build too, the clone Hadaly is slightly different to the original but not enough to make a big difference.

I would try the same build in your Hadaly that you use in your goon, if it's a duel then just parallel wrap so that it fits.

Also be worth trying an ultem/pc cap in the Hadaly if you think the steel cap is tainting the flavour .

I had a reo back in the day before kayfuns and it was pretty good. I then got into the kayfun and other similar rta's and just liked them better because I liked a vv device better...fast forward to last year when I could now buy a beautiful sva dna small squonker. Well I loved the mod and love squonking but after 10 different squonk tanks, from small chambered to big chambered, from bottom air to side and even top air, I gave up and sold it all....it wasn't the flavor or vapor, but the intensity of the vape...it just couldn't get the same snap as my rtas.....it guess it's the design of a tank, where it has no chimney like an rta, and I think it had something to do with that

Now I'm thinking... "A China made plastic bottle filled with PG? Not a comforting thought. If PBA's can leach into water, the same effect could be exponentially worst using PG. I have an unopened Therion DNA 75 squonker that I may try. If the results are the same, I'll just unload all of my squonkers on eBay, and stick with my Kayfun's and Glass cap RDA's.

it really comes down to 1 thing....squonking isn't for everyone. There's a whole bunch of people who don't like it. I suppose most of us who DO like it, can't taste the plastic squonk bottles or we don't find it offensive. I replace the bottles in my squonkers with the ones I like. I mix my juice in plastic bottles, store my juice in plastic bottles and I transfer that juice into plastic squonk bottles. If I was vaping out of glass bottles and using glass drippers for the last 6 years, I might notice the difference... I guess I'm just used to it.

There are silicone bottles available for the Inbox now.

I live my Drop & Pulse 24 on both regulated & mech. Great flavor.

I'm not a big fan of the silicone bottles... I like the YFTK super softs. No leaks and enough backbone to suck excess juice out quickly. I got lucky.....those silicone jobs were $25 apiece back when I tried em. The ones I like now are about $6 for 10.

Yeah, I could never get into squonking. As a MTL vaper, I just couldn't find an bf atty that worked for me. I have too many rta's that I really like.
