hi i just started vaping 2 days ago. i dont even feel like i want a cig. but i find myself using 3 to 4 ml a day. of 24mg. i was a half a pack a day. is that too much?

If you don't even want a cig, don't change a thing! If it keeps you off the killer ciggies, I really don't think there's any such thing as "too much vaping". :)

You can always adjust the nic level downward as you feel comfortable that the ciggies are far in the rear view mirror, but for now, I'd just "enjoy the binge". I vape 12mg, about 5-6ml/day, so you're really not getting any more nicotine than I am and I wouldn't sweat it. If you find yourself vaping more ml/day, maybe drop down to 18, or even 12.

I really like the mental benefits* of nicotine, so even though I think my BP and heart rate are a little high at 12mg, I don't want to drop down just yet. I hope that I find that the "therapeutic level" of nicotine is more like 6ml than 12ml, but I'm not too concerned about it for the time being.

* Mental benefits:

Improved memory
Improved mood/reduced symptoms of depression
Improved attention/alertness - reduced symptoms of ADHD
Reduction in symptoms of Parkinson's & Alzheimer's

For myself I have noticed that I dont really need all that high of nic content. I started at 24mg too because I smoked 2 packs a day and figured I "needed" the extra nicotine.
but because of the way the vapor is - and the chain vaping at first, that extra nic is not really "needed" and less nic was just as satisfying.

also - buy going slow and holding your vape a few extra seconds before you ehale your body can absorb more nic. think of it like trying to pour a ton of water on dry ground - most of the water just runs off if you pour it all on at once. If you go slow and pour a little at a time - all the water gets absorbed. Higher nic is not always better ...just my two cents.

Thanks for the insight.
I will try holding it in a little while longer before I exhale and see if it makes a difference.
Would take a little practice and getting used to, I suppose.

On the topic of practice, I am also new to vaping like you. I've found that the other day I was able to inhale vapor more deeply than when I started (it's been almost 2 weeks). On the first day I could get that burn in my throat, or throat hit, and sure that was nice. More recently I'm finding that I can inhale more vapor which is also pretty satisfying with the original throat hit. I don't know if this applies to you, but I thought I'd share a benefit that I'm experiencing.

Thanks for asking this - I'm about a month in & am learning when I go just a bit too far & make myself feel nauseous. Also, my husband, who is about 2 weeks in, was asking me today if he's vaping "too much" - he's still using the pre-filled cartos I ordered for him to get started and is going through 2-3 per day (18 mg nic). Assuming they really do each hold 1ml like they say, I told him I don't think that's too much. He's not having any nic-OD feelings, so I told him to vape happy  Hey, it's keeping him off the stinkies.

It's hard for me to tell how much I'm vaping because I probably switch flavors 5-6 times/day. I find that at 18mg I can overdo it a bit, but at 12mg I could pretty much vape constantly & do just fine. It's such a learning curve, isn't it?

I will explain some things:

1) You can vape as much as you want! Be happy and keep the nic high until you get off cigs.
2) Your Nic is Nic/time. Do not get caught up in the carto mg... 20 hits of 18mg in an hour>>>3 hits of 36.
3) It is EASY to vape a ton--inside, in your bed, car... snuggling. And you will vape alot. But you need to set your habits and get your goals in order NOW before you make too many new habits. I love nic and do not want to get off it... If you do it's best to set some habits soon... if you want to vape all over go lower nic in your cartos and vape more, if you treat it like a cig and take breaks, you may want to get higher nic and just take 10 hits. You'll probably like it as time goes by and go crazy and vape all over the place like we all do but it's YOUR decision on how much and how strong you vape. Just measure it nic/time not just in carto strength... So if you go from 24 to 12 it doesn't matter if you hit it twice as often... Use the e-cig to help you to YOUR goals!
4) Getting several lower or higher nic juice or cartos can help as well... At work on 5 min smoke breaks you may like 36mg, but drinking coffee and vaping for an hour 6mg may work great for you... Set the strength to the activity.
