Hello All....
It's been a while since I've posted here, health issues did arise.I did have an inner ear infection. It turned out to be a bit more than that though.I fainted a few more times and decided to go to the ER,well long story short I had a total heart block, got rushed to the bigger city hospital by ambulance and within a day ended up getting a pacemaker.Scared the Begeezies out of me.Slowly getting back into the swing of things, although I'm not allowed to basically do anything for 4 to 6 weeks.

I did keep up with this thread though, but never did signin so apologies for not liking a bunch of the posts, cuz there's lots to be liked here.

Thanks for this thread Kat and all who post in it,Great bunch of Ladies & Gents!

I'm still vaping but at a reduced rate,The doctor asked if I smoked,I told him no I use an electric cigarette....and have gone from 24mg nic to 4mg,he never told me to stop.
From inner ear infection to a pacemaker? Yes, very scary!

Take it easy. And, remember in a few weeks, STILL take it easy. Don't get impatient with yourself!

Welcome back snm! Sounds like a VERY frightening situation. I'm also glad that you're slowly but steadily recovering. Take it eazy peazy, yah?

Thank YOU for being part of this (what did Woofs call it?)..... "mightiest thread in the history of threads"! :D

Beat ya to it :)

It's working pretty well - no "nastiness" as of yet, and I haven't had to prime between hits :thumb: (and I even wrapped right-handed ;) )

Thanks all, for your help!

Increasing the odds that I'm going to get the V3 Mini(s)

Go fer it, Dings. We'll have matching tanks!

I like the clear part near the base (which probably isn't terribly good for the topper), but I can see juice level and watch for the bubbles....

I was VERY sparse with the rayon - it just made contact (which may or may not be part of my issue? Rayon THICK; cotton THIN?)

@DavidOck, I used my ohmmeter as a building base. It helped. Always keep the mandrel until I can get screws set ;) But, I think part of my troubles relate to wrapping left-handed. I want the tails of the coil to get trapped for right-hand screw, so I have to completely flip-flop how I orient the coil, and then I get all bumpuzzled :D

You've all been busy!!

Good that you have a building base, makes life a LOT easier!

That's what I was thinking - keep the TAILS sparse, but pack the coil?

TD beat me to the punch, yep, first build was much too little rayon! The second set of pics looked a lot better, and obviously works better as well! :)

The trimming is important on the mini, but I find it less so on the normal size. Those, I just do the bunny ears, lop 'em off about 1/8" above the bottom part of the chimney and gently push them down to the base. (About 65/35 PG/VG)

I like them too.

And, for whatever it's worth, neither Kat nor I have had ANY issues with any of the stock we acquired. They've ALL been absolutely perfect.

I wish we could say the same for the V3 Minis, which are failing us at an alarming rate (50%).
Same here! May grab a couple more!

But, about a half-dozen hits into it, I start to get the "burnt" taste.... I'm watching for bubbles, and they're not flowing as much as I would expect. 65p/35v juice :(
It looks like it's over filled? You need a good airspace in the top. I can only fill my KFLv2 about 1/2 way up the glass or a bit more when it's upside down for filling. I've not seen a Mini unassembled so don't know if that might effect it.

Rayon should be thicker. I wrap right handed & mount the coil right handed with the legs on the bottom. This sets the coil the right distance above the airflow, with very little adjustment needed. Plus it shortens the legs.

YEP - Will take some time . . . Been 12 weeks so far for "Me" and I am still not there yet either . . . Just remember what some people have already said . . . "Take it easy" - "Don't get impatient with yourself! - And, without a doubt, "Do all the exercises", including those stupid breathing exercises every hour (In the past 2 weeks got a few X-Ray's done and I now have to deal with fluid in "My" lungs) . . .

I'm running really well now! No nas-tays. Seeing the lil bubbles. I've just restored my faith in my KF gear..... (which means I'm prolly gonna buy a couple off FT tomorrow  )

I remembered an old "trick" I'd read somewhere some time ago.... Take the wire and anchor it around the mandrel until the leg gets set. THAT helped tremendously (after a lot swearing!) Gives that extra "hand"

Kat, we WILL make a builder out of you before long!! In the not so good future for Vaping, while you are using your Kayfuns as a last resort, do you want to say that "THE GOVERNMENT MADE ME BUILD THESE!!:(" or
"I started building for the Love of my Hobby! And I am VERY PROUD of what I CAN DO :)"

No doubt LJF! Makes my "measly" back pain seem a lot less stressful!

Kat, every since I got off cartomizers everything I own is a rebuildable, of some sort, but I do agree, sometimes it would be nice to just pop a coil in!
Speaking of which, after seeing that mini mod yesterday, Council of Vapors Mini Volt 40W Box Mod | E-Liquid | VaporBeast I've been looking around and for some reason this thing is calling my name! www.vaphttp://www.vaporbeast.com/mi...tmlorbeast.com/kanger-kbox-mini-platinum.html Let's me see what the TC is all about, for a decent price, and has more power than I'll probably ever need!
But I'd have to get a new tank for it, wouldn't I? I saw one the other day that interested me, I thought it was the Mutank, but it's not. I has bases for Nauty coils, Delta coils, another one or two, and an RBA deck as well. But I can't find the silly thing now!
