T for Texas!
The Hana one is designed to have that Gap. The pics on Hana site look exactly the same.

And the one is their low end, inexpensive device to get someone a dna board device, so that has to be brought into the equation when evaluating.

Valid point but keep in mind when the one mod came out it was $150

That would drive me absolutely bonkers. I'd have to fix it or break it in the process of fixing it.

It's not hard to break! Just opening the battery door feels like your breaking it. I did like it while it lasted . But it's not their top of the line model so maybe their other devices are better

So I've gotten the itch to branch out again, at least for the stockpile. The Ego One toppers and the 1 ohm CLR heads have caught my eye. I know I'm late to jump on the egg roll bus, but once there's a great deal my interest level jumps!

Maybe these can work for my tight draw low wattage style, (still lovin my 2.4 ohm Vivi Novas), but..

First, has anyone rebuilt those heads in the 1.5 -2 ohm range for a mellow MTL setup? Do you like them versus the Subtank?

Second, is the performance different between different versions of the Ego One and the other toppers that can use that head? Any favorite topper for these heads?

Thanks in advance!

Yep. I had had my eye on those Provari's for awhile, but, they were just too damm expensive :(. I really wish I had been able to get one for myself before they went out of business. Oh well, that's life I guess.
Still some new ones left plus, with Provaris, a used one is often a better quality and will last longer than with many other brands when new.

Clone coils are not worth the headache or risk... if I get stock coils for a tank I just buy the originals.
It depends on the coils. I bought quite a few FT coils for my GS Air-M tanks because they are pennies a piece instead of a dollar or more a piece. A few of them turned out to be duds but the majority are great and even factoring in those few duds I still come ahead cost-wise.

it'll be awhile. my projects take about a year a piece...ask my wife how the painting is going.

we haven't had covers on our outlets for about two years.
I bet she would consider getting all these projects finished a great MD present!

I did many times . . . AND - It Was THAT GOOD ! ! ! :pervy:

Just Sayin' . . . ;)
Uncle, uncle, uncle
In my house if I want something done there are two ways to get it done. 1 If it's something that DH knows I'm not good at, I start working on it. 2. Wait til the thing starts affecting him…then he does it. But this second one sometimes takes too long. Then I think aloud to myself that maybe I should hire somebody to do it because DH is so busy with other things. This one is the big guns…for someone who has flipped a few houses and can pretty much rebuild a house from top to bottom :D

I enjoy painting, its one of the final steps to finishing. I'm the person who does 98% of the project then just can't finish the last 2% like installing all the trim pieces. My wife wanted to help paint once....she applied the paint like the designers on TV(slap on the wall and roll in all directions), I almost had a heart attack then I fired her in her first 5 minutes.
We have 42 8foot panels of cedar fence around our house. Took each one down, rebuilt then 2 coats of paint with a 6inch brush, that was 20 years ago and then redid the entire fence again 3 years ago, took me a month and 39 gallons of oil paint. The fence was put up in 1994 and still holding strong but I've had to replace some planks and 2x4's.
We have a cedar siding house and again with a 6inch brush painted the entire house by hand, that was also 2 coats, 3 weeks and 32 gallons of oil paint.
I've painted every room in our house, scraped texture off the ceilings and took the empty space in the basement, put in 3 rooms, laminated and ceramic tile, and removed the old wood stove I babysat for 15 years and installed a Harman pellet stove 5 years ago. Now I can sit a relax until my wife comes up with a idea to change something.
A man after my own heart!

All this discussion of home projects sometimes not getting done very fast reminds me of a sign I saw once showing two elephants in a compromising position. It read:

“Decision making around here is like the mating of elephants!
1. It's done at a high level.
2. It's accomplished with a great deal of roaring & screaming.
3. It takes two years to get anything done.”

Anyone here have trouble posting pics? Internet pics are not a problem but from my own camera "IPhone" it always tells me that the file is too large??
Iphone typically saves photos in very large files. When I want to post one I typically email it to myself as a small or medium file, not large, and then post it.

Thanks for getting back with the info. Was hoping for an easier way like a 2 "tap" solution, but I guess it is what it is.

...Sticking the insulator under the drip tip did work for a less airy vape with my 1.4ohm clapton take to work build...

Cool & Interesting...I'll have to try putting the insulator under the drip tip when I next use my STM.

I never liked the white rubber insulators, after a few protank rebuilds they started to brittle up some and show brown burn marks where it contacted the wire. The last few boxes of PT heads I purchased all insulators were silicone. The silicone wears well as I'm still recoiling those old atties for my sister.:)

I'm tagging @MikeADore here for you who I believe has built at 1.5 or 1.6 and uses these tanks a lot. You might also post questions at the ego thread.

Thanks! I'm trying to pore through that 300+ page thread as I normally have done my homework before asking questions much or buying. There's just so much to catch up that I thought my TP family could whittle it down to what's best before I could read it all! Right now I'm learnin' about the Tron!
