Well, caught the hubby outside smoking during the wee hours of the morning. Trying not to be angry but I'm awfully disappointed. I know how hard it is to quit, and it's not so much that he was smoking that has me upset but that he was trying to do it in a sneaky way and hide it from me. You'd think that watching his mother and my father die from smoking related illnesses would be enough motivation but I guess it isn't. Oh well.

Nope - "Cotton" . . . Even when this discussion about using this product in rebuilt coils started back in 2014, I pointed out the difference and posted that image previously with reference to the materials used in them, especially to let people know there was a difference and given that some may prefer using one over the other . . .

It is, of course, personal preference, but.... ;)

If you're going to get a box at Sallys, it really ought to be the rayon. Otherwise, something like KGD might be better option for cotton.

For me, once I tried rayon (yah, sometime in '14 ;) ), pif'd my first few feet, it was rayon only.

I'm certainly willing to give it a go.

Yeah...being upset with him is just going to make it worse. People smoke for a lot of different reasons. Maybe you two could work together to find a vape the mimics a cig better? That way you'd be fighting this as a team. It might work out for him and meanwhile you wouldn't feel distanced from him.

Oh, before I forget, what really helped me out killing cravings lately was the Vaporesso Aurora. It looks like a Zippo lighter. It only has a 650 mAh battery. It only has a 1.2 ml capacity. But it does have ceramic coils so the flavor is outstanding. And it it incredibly convenient. No buttons at all. It is draw activated and Wattage depends on battery state. It has a 1.4 Ohm atomizer. It's actually fun to carry around and fidget with. I got mine for $26 but I have seen it for sale at less than $20 with all of the 4th of July sales going on. I put some Mister E Liquid tobacco flavors in there at 33% VG and 18 mgs nic...holy cow, it was great.

It's definitely been a journey finding equipment he likes, it's the reason I found myself here among the tootle puffers. Subohm worked for me but he couldn't puff a subohm setup without coughing his brains out. The disappointment comes from him being completely smoke free over the week of our vacation and then trying to keep the charade up now that we're back to real life. He's a grown man and shouldn't be hiding things from his wife - it's not the smoking I'm upset about, it's the deceitful behavior. He'll find a surprise when he goes to sneak another one and finds the pack empty.

Oh, I get it, believe me. I was married for twenty years before my wife passed away. As a couple we play these games with each other. A lot of the stuff we do comes from love, and is done for your spouses own good, so we feel empowered to make decisions and take actions in order to help each other. I would just caution you because it sounds like you are already buying into the game. He did something deceitful by sneaking around to smoke. So you're mentioning that you're doing something deceitful by taking those cigs without talking to him about it. You end up playing the role of the bad guy parent instead of the supportive spouse.

You're absolutely right. I shouldn't have touched his pack. Too late now though, they're broken and in the trash and I'm certainly not replacing them

Heh. I have a pack of cigs in my glove compartment right now. It's an old, nasty, stale pack of Virginia Slims. The tiny kind that look like little straws. Horrible crap. But just knowing that they are there and that I could smoke one if I wanted to somehow makes it easier not to smoke.

Maybe he was just outside in order to keep from smelling up the house and not so much as in being sneaky. Have you looked into the WTA's? He just may be struggling more with that than anything else. Worth a shot. A small amt lasts a really long time, so even tho it looks expensive it really isn't when you only need to use a couple drops in a big bottle.
Food for thought.

:)

Who wants to help me spend some money during the HC sale? Taking suggestions [emoji4]

An MTL for your spouse. Aurora, EVOD Pro, or a NautX tank with 1.8 Ohm atomizers, lol. And a Revenger/PD270/Elitar Pipe so you can tell me whether or not to buy them.
