Took one for the team, eh, Chelzie? YAAY!![]()
@lil_buddy, when you top fill a vacuum tank that does not have JFC do you do the following steps:
I've top filled Kayfuns this way. Works like a charm and so much easier than bottom fill through that tiny little passage.@lil_buddy, when you top fill a vacuum tank that does not have JFC do you do the following steps:
Using this method I can top fill almost any vacuum tank without any issue whatsoever.
- close AFC
- open top and fill
- put top back on and just catch the first thread or 2
- flip tank upside down
- open AFC
- wait for liquid to drop
- close top cap the rest of the way
- wait 10 seconds and flip back right side up
Yeah except I also put a vape band over the AFC and then, after filling, I blow into the AF while firing until the gurgling/spitting stops - that's the nightmare to which I refer.@lil_buddy, when you top fill a vacuum tank that does not have JFC do you do the following steps:

That does sound like a nightmareYeah except I also put a vape band over the AFC and then, after filling, I blow into the AF while firing until the gurgling/spitting stops - that's the nightmare to which I refer.
I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or you really think that the method you outlined is a simple, easy to execute solution? Screwing the cap on by a single thread and then flipping it over while continuing to screw the cap on? Can you do that in your car or at your table at the bar? I have never seen the liquid drop - I don't even know what that means - was it defying gravity at some point? That does sound like a nightmare

No no, sorry. Not being sarcastic at all. Will find a vid that shows the technique and see if helps. My Curiosity Strikes Again...If I Might...Which tank(s) do you have the most trouble with ???...TrigYeah except I also put a vape band over the AFC and then, after filling, I blow into the AF while firing until the gurgling/spitting stops - that's the nightmare to which I refer.
Here you go...skip to 1:45 on this vid... The principle is the same on all vacuum RTAs that don't have JFC.I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or you really think that the method you outlined is a simple, easy to execute solution? Yeah, Toolman is usually on the helpful side.
I see very little rudeness in the threads I frequent. Lot's of nice folks like you spread thruout here.![]()
Yes! Me too!I don't know, too much info makes me want to do nothing. I'm sick of accumulating stuff I don't really like that much.
