The bark is very small but she's chasing and barking at sumpthing.

The rescue we got (he's like part Jack Russell and part Chiwahua or however you spell that IDK even know anymore) NEVER does anything in his sleep.

We were informed, however, that he had been found as a two year old out in the desert, so he probably figured out he needed to save his energy. He's pretty smart. Also NOT HOUSETRAINABLE in any way shape or form. Like, we'd crate him for hours, walk him for one, and he would come back in and just POOP right in the middle of our living room.

I'm quite sure it's purposeful, I'm PRETTY DARNED sure. That dog is independent. LOL. My kid was the only one able to do anything with him, but my kid has that special weirdo GIFT with animals, dogs especially. His current dog is the best she has doggy PTSD and was owned by a homeless person. She was absolutely FERAL when he got her (he adopted her because she was next in line for euthanasia, in part. He was like, "Bring me all the dogs that are dying today!" to the shelter, and chose this one.

She is now super sweet. I admire her willingness to die for the kid and we have a bit of a mind meld, when I was talking to my mom one time she had me on speaker, and my mom was like "The dog is getting crazy excited! Call her over!"
LOL so I did, and she licked the speaker. That is one dog I had to not love on too much, because she was my kiddo's dog but I LOVED her.

IDK if I could do that with another dog, I was considering getting a puppy and seeing Just How Far I could take my behavioral training with a dog, but like, it would have been more experimental for me I think. Just as well I went back to work. LOL. No mind melds with me with dogs, I like them and have loved a couple.... But they're so HIGH maintenance.

And, I say that after raising a KID to adult hood. I personally believe they are more high maintenance than that, just wanting to love you and please you all the dang time. Heh. Give me an adolescent any day of the week, that's interesting.

In theory, I would enjoy raising a dog, not so sure about in practice so I hold off. Plus, the husband is so freaking alpha all the dang time it would never be "mine" and I would be PO'd.

yeah I purchased a Labrador about 3 years ago and it was the biggest mistake I ever made concerning dogs … I didn't know it at the time, but Lab's are good dogs for Children as they are so playful.... Good hunting/bird dogs as well .... But I wasn't wanting a playful dog … This dog is just plain wearing me out with the amount of energy he has .... Plus when I have him on the leash and am walking him, it's more like he is walking me as he is very strong a pulls me behind him  …. Oh well, he is a good dog and I am attached to him.... He is a very good dog about letting me know when someone is around.

Yup, same here, ready to go at a moments notice. If I the dog doesn't get to walk me twice a day or retrieve frizzbies he sits and stares at me until I get moving.

Yeah, ours is wearing us out too . This was back when we had two, and they had their own sofa in the bedroom. The cure to stopping pulling when walking is easy. When he starts to pull, abruptly turn and start walking in opposite direction. The yank will teach him he needs to stay heeled up. They’re very driven to please their people, so it doesn’t take long for them to pick it up and walk next to you. Or, just get a skateboard, and enjoy the ride as he pulls you ( exercise averted ;)!)

I think it's a java thing. It was just a black screen for me too.

Played for me in Chrome and Edge, but not Firefox.

I'm just as pleased none of the bald eagles around here has ever decided to land on me.

Beating the Brownies to qualify for the NFL Playoffs is so sweet !
Ending the Squealers season as a full house in Heinz Field sits on their terrible towels is icing on the cake !
CRAB CAKES AND FOOTBALL !

Congrats, Papaw.

I'm not certain but I THINK that the Steelers get in if the Colts & Titans end in a tie (unlikely as that may be).

So you're a Ravens fan. Ex Browns or Colts fan? I'm thinking Colts?

Being how I am in PA, I bet you can't guess who I would be for? Actually, I am not into sports but I usually do watch at least the super bowl each year, just to see who wins. I always root for whoever is the under-dog.

The first quarterback I ever saw play was named John Unitas.

I'm a Marino fan back from his days at Pitt, and I admire all good QBs, even those named Brady. ;)

Unitas was hands-down the best QB ever, and there's nobody even in his stratosphere. He was so much better than every single one of his peers that the only comparison anyone could possibly make would be with Babe Ruth. They were similar to their respective sports, and compared to all who surrounded them.

I'd love to say differently (with Marino in the GOAT role), but it's impossible to see it any other way when looked at rationally.

I heard Louis Riddick say, back a couple of months, that if Marino was playing with today's rules he'd be throwing 6,000 years every year.

If that's true (and I highly doubt that it is), then Unitas would be throwing for 8,000. He was that good.

Did I mention the word, "Blowhard" earlier?:facepalm:

I never realized that he even played! I'll be dayumed. ;)

That makes "too" of us, JUMA (but you know this already).

Interestingly enough, with atties I have better luck with the cheap stuff than the expensive ones. Go figure...

I might have agreed with you a couple of weeks ago. But lately I've been using five authentic Kayfuns and the experience has been fantastic.

Dogs are pack animals. If it's leading you it thinks it's the pack leader. You are correct, you need to give a good yank on it's leash and make sure they walk beside you or follow but not ahead of you. Once it learns you are the pack leader other things are easier to teach. Sometimes it takes a training collar. With Jasmine all I have to do is say hey or get back here and she heels.

    Excellent news, JUMA.

I'll see you in a couple of weeks. ;)

What I'm dreading is when it comes time to clean the Kayfuns. Not much work to clean Kabukis and Eggrolls. The Kayfuns, as you know, have a bunch more parts. So do you completely break them down, wash and start over? Or just replace the wick? Or pull out the old wick, dry fire it and the rinse the deck? Or what?

Me? It depends on a number of factors. Sometimes I just re-wick, yeah. I always rinse, pulse-burn, and re-rinse though.
