So now I can relax a bit.

Today is my 39th wedding anniversary and I have just spent the last hour or so waiting for the ambulance to come and treat my wonderful husband for a redback spider bite. Luckily he is not allergic to them so aside from some very serious pain.....he is going to be ok. Phew

Will not be dancing this weekend.

Wow...sorry to read this...I super glad your husband will be okay!!!

The nautilus coil pics will need to wait. Turns out hubby is one of the few folks that needs antivenin for the bite and then also happens to be one of the few people who has a reaction to the antivenin. We are finally back home from the hospital and he appears to be over the hump.

I kid around with GT that I am not really the nurse you want in a crisis but I did manage to stay calm when it was all going to hell in a handbasket. I will get back to vaping tomorrow.

Truly glad you're both back home and he's getting better,Dang spiders,I hope the one that got your husband got squished!

So I got a question that might open a can of worms i hope not but well see. What's your favorite kayfun version and why? This might have been in another thread some where I just didn't find it.

I only have two types of Kayfun clones, a Kafun lite and a few Kayfun3.1ES.I like the 3.1ES version better cause it's just a better built clone (thicker steel and better threading).I have no experience with a true Kayfun to compare with the clones.I will say that to date the Kayfun type atomizer is my favorite so far in my vaping journey.

KFL+v2 EHPro clone. It's the only one I've tried other than an authentic KFv1 Nano. I think v2 vapes better than the v1 Nano. It has more airflow if the positive pin is lined up right, has great flavor, & is easy to wick. Haven't tried the v4 because of all the partsn which are beyond unnecessary imo. Plusv2 is perfect for me. I seldom use anything else.

I like the Kayfun Lite Plus V2 and Kayfun 4.
The Kayfun Undead (Kayfun Lite) is one of my favorite variants.
I have a feeling the new Kayfun Mini (V3)
Will be a new favorite. :D

Also like the Kayfun 3.1s... ahh heck, Ill take any of them!!

I get what your saying about all the parts of the V4. Once it's assembled there's not need to take everything apart again unless you want to do a total cleaning.

I wonder how Krisma and her hubby are doing?

:glug:

Hope everything's okay.
I'll let @Krisma fill you in in her own time, but she is okay and hubby is slowly recovering ;)

Mind, that was last night, haven't heard this morning

My heart skipped a beat when I read "I'll let Krisma fill you in in her own time..." but as I read further I heaved a sigh of relief.

Thanks gt, for responding. Appreciate it.

Cheers

Thanks everyone. He is definitely on the mend. It was quite scarey to see the reaction to the antivenin (that was worse than the reaction to the bite) doctors don't tell that Its not automatically given these days because of the cardiac complications. It will take another week or so of recovery to be back to normal strength and sleeping is the best treatment.

Today they were going to decide if he needed more antivenin but personally I think he is clear and it will be just a general review. I suppose the lesson learnt is not to take spiders lightly and I will be fumigating every nook and cranny I can.

So happy to hear he's on the mend. What a horrible thing to happen. I wish him and you well, and the strength to get through this.

Seems like I read/heard/saw that Oz is home to more poisonous critters than any other place... don't know if that was "concentrated" in one area or not.

:p We have our fair share of nasties... Australia is big and each of them has an environment they prefer. The redback is the problem for us here in the drier states and lucky we don't have the super dangerous funnel web (more tropical climate required)

When I was working (my mail route beat), a dog came sauntering around a corner by itself. It's rare to see a dog on its own with no owner in sight so I wandered closer, about 10 feet from it and said,

"Where's your mama? Why aren't you with your owner?" I suddenly realized it was a coyote! !@##@@!!!! I backed away slowly while the coyote looked at me as if to say,

"Hey bonehead, take a good look. I'm a freakin' coyote! You postal workers really aren't very bright."

He just kept on going...right past me. I'd wished I had a spare pair o' trousers in my truck."
