The forum software only allows a thread to get so large and then it is cut off. A new thread is then started to continue it. In the case of this thread I believe the first thread was closed and then continued by the "Redux" that was eventually closed and continued with the "Sequel to the Redux".

Or something like that.
Tge threads could only go about 15-16 thousand messages. Recently they upgraded software abd it can allow longer threads now.

I just met a statistic in progress...

Argh!

Young kid... maybe early 20s... his "friend" sold him a Rig V2 with the Roughneck RDA. His "friend" sold him a bunch of batteries... efests and torn casings. Kid asks me how to change the battery... goes to drop a fresh battery with tears at top ans bottom into the copper tube... I patch the casings as I don't have any wraps with me. It's a 20 A battery. I asked him what resistance he's running. "What's resistance?" I try to explain, but see his eyes start to glaze. Ugh... I also gave him a case as I watched him start to tuck the old battery into his jeans pocket.

Let's recap... hybrid mech, torn casings, no knowledge of ohms law.

It's right about now I wish ECF had no censorship as this situation truly merits a whole bunch of colorful metaphors...

How did I not know about this? I never ran across this idea in the time I spent on homebrew and winemaking forums. From now on, I'll use VG in the airlocks. Thanks!
VG is the only thing to use in airlocks.

Ive been using VG in airlocks for 20 years since i bought s BOOK of wine making recipes. It suggested VG instead of water. Been using VG ever since, abd never a vinegar tasting batch since then.

Can't make much wine where I live. Only thing we're good at growing are rocks, and I don't think rock wine would be very good.
You could always mske Sake, mead, dandelion Wine, etc etc. The book i bought in tge 1990s had 118 recipes.

After i moved from tge farm with Concord grape vines i made wine out of frozen concentrated juices in the freezer section of tge store. Just look for concentrates without preservatives.

The frozen purple grape concentrate made some nice Wine. Looked like Cherry koolaid and kicked like a mule 13% alcohol wben i used Montrachet Wine yeast.

OMG!!! That kid is an accident waiting to happen. He's lucky he ran into you to help him out. I hope you convinced him to try something a little safer for a newbie.

Thanks. I knew the meaning of sequel but not in conjuction with redux which I googled but didn't make sense in this context.

Don't mind me. Was having a brain fart

First was the original thread, then there was a new thread which was called the redux, then a third thread which is the sequel to the redux.
Clear as mud?

Duplicate Department of Repetitive Redundancy :)

That krazy OP and her konstant kreative literary license with our precious language! Some nerve, that one. ;)

And no worries about a redux sequel to the 4th power now that XF allows unlimited posts.

Shawn - THANK YOU. This is info everyone needs to read, to know, to remember. And thank you for posting the "Time to say goodbye" article. I was going to do the same. I actually did post it off ECF, and immediately got hit by my mech friends.

I hope you all took a few to read it. Wow.

It's been great, mech mods, but it's time to say goodbye - Fergus Online

As much as I love my mechs, misuse and poor designs have tarnished them in the eyes of many. Used with a little common sense they are great vapes still.

And herein lies the prob, 440. A little common sense is not always an availability.

Oh shut up, go back to VU with the rest of the people you have brainwashed. I'm sick of hearing it, why don't YOU move on, FAR AWAY.

Emma, perhaps you guys might want to take this to PM?

How did i know it for 20+ years. Its not like it was a state secret. I learned it from a book of wine recipes I bought from Semplex of America as i got Campden tablets, axud blend, hydrometer, Wine yeast, etc. That BOOK was tge one that had the recipe for pineapple Wine i made.

I used wube to keep my gut healthy,
I used wine in my beef jerky marinade
I also cooked with wine.
