Question.
I have 100 or so of these $2.06 Free Shipping Pre-made Wires and Wicks for Atomizer (50-Pack) (1.8ohm, 33 AWG, 4-Wick: 50-Pack) at m.FastTech.com
Could I remove the wicks an use in the clr head for my ego One v2 tank?
Just thought about doing this and wicking with rayon.
I hate to waste stuff!

I was looking at these earlier. Is AWG the same wire size we talk about here? I noticed the smallest number they carry is 32. I use 30 for PT coils. That's quite thin wire. 32 must be really thin, and they go up to 36. Am I missing something?

Yes - AWG is the "standard". They do have 28g, but it's 0.8 ohms. 32 is pretty thin, and I think it's often what's used in the stock PT coils. I use 30 to rebuild mine as well. I've worked a little bit with 32. You don't need as many wraps for the same resistance, and it probably wouldn't hold up as long (I usually recoil after 3-4 rewicks on a single head.)

Thanks Dinger!
Cause I don't know!
Tj told me I could use them in my A7 rda, and I used a few to insert in my pt2 coils before I got flustered trying to rebuild those.

The Geekvape Karma, a very nice looking, and according to Shawn very nice in general, hybrid mech kit.
Kit with atty $36.86, mod alone $27.99 so I went with the kit.
Although the mod - the Black Ring - IS a hybrid mech - hybridness aside - it's likely the safest mech I have ever used. Since I bought the kit, and the center pin is certainly long enough, I feel as safe as using any mech... safer than some... Being hybrid, it hits pretty hard. The mod is lined, so it's possible to install the battery positive up or down. From a safety standpoint, positive down would be better. Batteries vent from the top and venting in the mod is at the bottom. From a novice perspective, it's probably best to install it positive up because that's how most all mechs are supposed to work. The button is nicely recessed, and features a floating delrin interior surface that auto adjusts the battery to eliminate most rattle.

The RDTA - The Karma - is quite similar, deck-wise, to the Limitless and Limitless Plus... Velocity Deck, removable wick ring with integrated fill port, adjustable air on the side. Similarities aside, it's far sturdier... far more solid... in my opinion.

The only cons include a slight side-to-side battery rattle. This is a very acceptable con if you ask me as it allows for batteries with thicker wraps, or allows batteries to swell a bit without turning the mod into a pipe bomb. Oh, ant the button is quite recessed. Again, this is an acceptable con as it makes it quite difficult to accidentally fire the device. Just not as easy to fire...

Some find the looks objectionable, but I like it.

This is what you need. That'll clear you right up. It's even too strong for me and I'm a former menthol smoker and love mint! I'm just waiting to use it until I have a cold or if I can figure out a good way to mix it with something

The legs look long enough so why not use them in a CLR coil. Make sure to put the coil on a mandrel or some thing to allow you to compress it a little before installing it in the CLR, they look a bit too spaced.

Anyone have any theories on my wicks turn colors close to the wicking holes? Doesn't really affect anything, just curious... @Katdarling ...don't you have a couple Corolla's?
I've got nothing other than maybe capillary movement of the burnt sugars/additives ???

Contact oxidation. Some of my wicks turn orange or pink if I let them sit for a while.

Hmm...maybe...but wouldn't the whole thing be darker? I dunno...you lost me when you used a word with more than two syllables.

I really like that base. So much easier! Do you know if it can be bought by itself? I checked FT and nada.
It's really too bad, FT has long since discontinued all the older Kayfun products.

You can get a complete atty here, I don't know the manufacturer or quality.
Kayfun 3.1 ES - Pegasus Vapor Academy

Good deal here on FleaBay, I can't vouch for the seller but looks like a decent clone.
Stainless Steel Kayfun 3.1 ES (clone) | eBay

Good luck in your search, the 3.1 bases are quite a bit taller than a regular KFL base since they have a juice catch cup on the bottom. They made it so you can remove the cup to convert them over to hybrid for certain tube mods. All of the regular KFL parts fit the 3.1 base and work perfectly.

I'm currently on page 42 and would just love to say that the knowledge is very helpful and the banter is incredibly uplifting.
You guys are awesome :)

@kad2371 I just looked at the specs on the Merlin mini and found a deal breaker..it's 24mm so it won't fit on the Pico and if I put it on either the SX mini, the Clouper mini or the eVic mini the overhang would drive my OCD up the wall! You know me...I can't deal with overhang and my tanks can't be taller than the mod its sitting on. ;) Off to look for something else. I need one more good RTA.
