All I can say to that is: to each, his/her own. As long as you enjoy it and keeps you off analogs, go for it!

I don't disagree with you at all, just saying not for me, I think can get the same flavor with atties like the avocado, which is like a dripper, but with a tank below and don't need to drip or squonk ;)

Tried rda's, didn't use for long, got fed up with dripping, tried squonking, same thing, got fed up keep remembering to press the bottle, I just want to fill up a tank and vape :)
Similar for me. I gave up after a few months with the realization that it wasn't for me.

People LOVE it though, so the curious ones might want to try it for themselves.

Are you saying that people who squonk are ... umm ... curious? (as in peculiar)

You are probably right and I wouldn't think of disputing it. I found the Chalice lll, NoFear, and Cyclone to have the perfect MTL draw for me and the REO P67, Dripbox2 and Wraith the perfect mods for the aforementioned rdas. I'm still liking the Pico Squeeze / Origen Little combo as well as the Coppervape/RM2 combo, and still looking. My try with the Theorem was a big fail. I tend to like regulated squonkers and love the TC ones....except the Dripbox 160. It is rather bulky and TC is not quite as good, more like a hit and miss for me.

I should've said that I don't like it for wrapping vertical coils. It may be totally different for using within the coil. Here's what it looks like

It's funny Chels, as I only have had success coiling vertical (in the little ICare jobbies) using this wicking material (normal rayon and/or cotton were a fail) ;)

Only cotton squares work for me. Guess we're all different [emoji4]

Vaping is about the ritual, not just the vapor. Different hardware makes you do things differently. People get preferences, rational and otherwise. I started with an N mini, then an Atlantis, then the rebuildable sub mini. I went from MTL to lung hits and back to MTL. My first try with a 22mm rda (Tugboat) was the end of my interest in tanks. It took a few months experimenting with different clone rda's to figure out that the SV rda was going to be my favorite. For $7 each I've got 10 of them in the stockpile, more than a life time supply and I'm sure I'll vape them exclusiely for the rest of my days. I did some customizing. A tall slip ring controls leaking. I use a short derringer style drip tip to drip through and a .030" home made shim so the air supply is oriented away from the tall battery door on the Pico. A black SV on a black Pico is stealthy and even looks blingy, until I add the dorky silicone sleeve.

Tanks are taller and more breakable and have more of parts. The SV is fast to rewick, which i do often. With temp control I can vary the vapor production by letting the wick go dry. I estimate re dripping happens about 10 times a day and takes 10-15 seconds. Not time consuming. The only down side might be that i have to be more careful about preventing leaking when the juice well is full by being sure the slip ring is in place in my pocket. I'm not intersted in squonking in part because I can't do it with the SV and because temp control needs to be there for me.

A lot of vapers, including me, get to a point where we've got something that's working, that's good enough, and we stop looking for something "better".

Well, I did it... first coil build ever.

About 7 wraps of 28ga Kanthal on a 3mm diameter tool. 1.5 ohms.

This flat top bellcap KFL+ V2 Frankenstein is good... real good. Flavor is right there with my Vika Fantasy, and I haven't found anything that i could say that about.

My only small complaint is the air hole whistle. I ended up taking the airflow screw out of the bottom and covering the side one with my finger. Maybe radiusing the hole with Dremel could fix that.

You are certainly welcome. Glad i could introduce the little beastie to you.

I think two things about the Kompact Kayfun (as @Katdarling calls it)

    1. Finally the Kayfun has been perfected.

    2. The flavor is almost as good as the Goblin Mini and Silverplay Nano i LOVE so much.

I love squonking but it's not an out and about, put it in my pocket or purse thing. Like someone else eluded to, a squonking atty is a dripper with a hole in the pin so if it's not upright, liquid will leak out of the air hole and go everywhere, in pocket or purse.

Happy to report, I just refilled the KFL+ Bellcapenstein by unscrewing the base/deck and it was just as trouble-free as refilling any bottom-fill tank. Also, still no sign of any leakage around the bellcap base where I removed threads.

Now I'm thinking this one is perfect size for out and about, but I want to build another one with a bit more capacity for loafing around the house.
The bottom fill without tge fill port.
The flavor almost as good as the Goblin Mini or Silverplay Nano.
    The spare parts availabiliy
Ability to pull the deck without dumping my Juice

And more is why I like the little beastie so much

And to think in the beginning i thought it woukd be my beater atty out and about and didn't care if i killed it.. I just didn't want to kill my Silverplay Nano.

This beastie stayed, and have sold 2/3 of the attys in my vapocalpse stash. Including most of tge Silverplay Nanos i raved about for months.

I've seen the bunny ears method but can't really use it on this setup... the chimney is screwed into the bellcap. I cut them back until they were on the deck without hanging into the threads for the chimney. Seems to work.

No yoy can't do tge bunny ears method.

I have a blog entry about wicking a Kayfun.

    Here is a short synopsis.

Allow tge wick to hang down on tge Kayfun base. Take thumb and forefinger and pinch tge tails against tge top of tge Juice Wells snd release.

You will see an indentatio in tge tails where they were pinched against the Juice wells. USS that indentation as a guide, and I get perfect length tails every time.

Oh, I'm not knocking squonking, or dripping or any of the other styles of vaping. Whatever keeps us all from smoking is the right way to vape.

As someone else mentioned everyone has their preferences. I know for mant vapers vaping has evolved into a hobby and it's fun to experiment with different sizes, mods, tanks, temps, flavors etc, etc.

For me it's strictly a replacement for cigs. It has to be as simple (or darn near) as pulling a cig out of the pack and lighting it although I've had to make allowances for the dark ages (such as learn to coil, diy juice).

Get the nic in. Once you have that, you're independent of any regulations. Of course something to vape the stuff is still needed, but I can easily see a restriction being enacted on nic at any time, unlike hardware which they theoretically should keep their hands off of for another 18 months (or new stuff coming to market after 8/16, if they can ever figure out how to do that).

    I agree 100%.

People getting into prepping get the nicotine first!

The USPS is about to refuse to ship any nicotine higher than 61.5 mg/ml

And the money is in the medicine not the cure.....
They don't want a cure. Tgey want tge money from selling the medicine.

If i could afford tge medicine for my Crohns it wiyhd be $2000+ a month.

I found ways to take my health in my own hands and spend only $50 or so a month.

I have gone from flares every 2-3 days to. Well let me put it this way.

My last flare was February 13th. The flare before that was November 10, 2016.

What i found has been a God send for me!

I haven't been keeping up, and although the conversation seems to be civil, there does seem to be some disagreement.

As long as we can all agree that I am right and correct, we'll be fine...

Of course, as I am a hobbyist and partake of all styles... lol...

Also from what I understand less then a dollar of a pack of cigs goes to the tobacco company the rest is all taxes.
    You got that right.

State and local taxes make up tge lion share of the purchase price. I heard that about 80% of tge cigarettes in New York are illegal.

Getting them out of state or black market.

Philadelphia passed a soda tax per ounce.

People started driving out if town for soda, abd started buying their Groceries there too.

The sales of soda in Philadelphia has fallen 30-50%, and several stores is considering cutting back on employees.

Idiots that run these Cities don't have a clue about economics. PEOPLE WIKK ALWAYS VOTE WITH THEIR DOLLARS.

Give people a reason to Drive a few more miles down the road and they will and take their business with them.

Uncle Joe G was a Palestinan. He was always telling me stories with s moral.

One stort he tild was the person who kept goats and sold goat milk and cheese. Neighbors complained he sold milk and cheese too cheaply. His reply if i raise the prices the milk will spoil and I will have nothing.

These politicians need to consider consequiences (SP,) before enacting law.
