I really dislike Gearbest, and it may be more trouble then it is worth, but they had the Hotcig VS not to long ago.

As for the three you mention, I'm going against common opinion, but the FEV 3 just never did it for me, flavor is just a bit on the weak side, not bad, but not as good as many others. I've found no matter the build or placement of coil it ends up being slightly muted.

Horizon is better on the flavor department, and can be had with a nano set up which is a plus for me, also offers some pretty decent air flow options with a decently large range, unfortunately the range is accomplished with grub screws blocking off 1 or more of the 4 ports with grub screws, extremely tight air flow being accomplished with 3 blocked, fourth with a center drilled grub. little fiddly but works well enough.

couple things I don't care for with the Horizon, both fixable, but annoying enough to make worth mention. The juice feeder holes are a bit on the small side for High VG liquids, it will work but tends to starve just enough to be noticeable unless you get wicking just right. Easy fix would be to run a drill through them, which I never did get around to.

The second issue, the top of the chamber is a plate, and held in place with an o-ring, when it gets juicy it spins easily, which end up messing up your build. Polishing/reducing the chimney just a tiny bit, or a little tighter o-ring should fix it, just never got around to it. Kayfun type deck is a really easy build, 22mm is another + to me as well.

Finally the Kronos, my favorite of the three, Nano option, fairly short overall height, especially with nano tank, easy wicking/build best flavor of the three. Top fill capable (not the best design but works) Drop deck for easy access to build. Decent airflow with good range of adjustment. 23mm could be a negative depending on preference, doesn't bother me.

Woo, a little long winded, sorry for that..

They are a little Industrial looking, I like listening to Rammstein when I vape it!

The Glass tank is a much better look IMHO.

But I REALLY WANT the Flash e-Vapor dD!
You will hear Till Lindemann sing directly into your ears when you vape that one. :headbang:  :headbang:

Ive seen the kinds of things that Till likes to play with on stage. I wont be getting close enough for him to sing in my ear

You wouldn't like to get sprayed, like in the "Bück dich" live video...

Yah I cant be on board with such things. I should not have responded about it in jest. Many like them and that is ok for them ill have to pass.

The biggest problem with the Plato is there's no RBA for it, so you have to depend on buying coils all the time, and it takes money and time to figure out which coil works best. So far, my Triton Mini 1.2 ohm is working well but my friend is having trouble with this coil, thinking she got a bad batch. If they don't come out with an RBA pretty soon this mod's going on the back burner.

I ran across this and the shinytitis has kicked in! I changed it to Euro and the price says its only 40 which is $45.25 US. I think this must be a mistake can someone else look at it. They come with a lifetime warranty and look to be very well machined???

You can rebuild the nautilus/triton mini factory coils.

Nice!
You got a HoG box to put that on?
hog_grande.jpg

Nope don't own one, not overly interested in it. I'm pretty sure the Fatboy will get built once and end up sitting on a shelf. Then every once in a while I'll wick it, use it for a couple minutes have a little laugh, clean it, and back to the shelf.

Besides I've been looking for an excuse to build another PWM LiPo box with a good hicap 4S or 6S :sneaky: Have an Arduino box I've been working on as well that I really need to finish up, fun stuff, but time consuming.

Yes I can see that with the Fatboy.

I might just be interested in an Arduino box, do you have any details or a sketch you might want to share?

Anyone got the little cute Istick Pico ? Mine should be here tomorrow, it looks like a really nice little mod..

I have one, used it already with a few tanks, sub-ohm, its versatile device. But I'm going to see how it runs for mouth to lung when my Triton Mini arrives in the next few days. Its a good device you'll love it.

As for tootle puffing I've gotten back into it the past few days, don't know if sub-ohming is for me long term. More to impress the friends with some clouds occasionally.

Need to watch my intake and juice usage.

Nope, not a Genny. gravity assisted/capillary action feed. Two holes in the bottom of the tank Coil sits beneath it. You fill the holes with wicking media, Silicon, Cotton, Mesh, the juice is pulled though whatever feed method you use to the wick, or you could just place the wick directly into the holes. Mesh pretty much works the best and is the most common choice.

First picture is the Coil/wick of a Taifun GS2, second pic, though a little hard to see is the mesh feeder straws going through the hole, and lightly contacting the cotton wick.

Thanks for the explanation...Boy do I have lots to learn :)

Mornin' folks,

I'm awaiting vape mail tomorrow. Amongst my purchases is my first kayfun (eeeek!). A staffer at our local B&M offered to show me how to rebuild.

"That's what we're here for. I'd be happy to help you."

Wow, talk about your customer service! The lesson will have to wait as this week I'm preparing for a lil road trip to 'Merica :)

Hope y'all are enjoyin' your weekend!

That's great,I've always learned much quicker when I'm actually watching it being done, very nice of the staffer to show you.

Have fun in the US of A
