My eyes have improved with the last 2 pair I've gotten. I'm back to bifocals. Of course I'm *not* on the computer all day everyday anymore since I retired. Ok, I am....but my eyes keep improving!

Memorized the eye chart, huh?

@Krisma

Here is that carto tank you've been looking at. Its the first thing that Todd looks at. It is a carto for sure!

I do have a huge soft spot for carto tanks. This is definitely on my list of things to check out. :p

Greetings my fellow tootlers, I need some settings advice for my mod a while back I won one of these: http://www.sigelei.com/goods.php?id=644 from 502 eliquids. I finally got around to getting the 18650 batteries, a battery charger, & a tank (Joyetech EGO One) to start using it.

Now I had been using an Aerotank Mini on an eGO C-Twist that I kept at about 3.8v and I use a M2L inhale. How can I set my mod so that it vapes more or less like my current setup?

What's the resistance of the coil you use? You can figure out a wattage setting from that for power mode. If you're using coils specifically made for Temp control, and want to use TC on your Sigelei, it can be a bit harder to do a simple conversion, but we can think up something straightforward that makes sense.

Right now it's got a standard 0.5 ohm coil, but I did pick up TC coils, as well.

Not the proper place for this, I'm sure, but thus requires a little venting...

This really has me more than a little angry and upset...

This is an accident... another statistic waiting to happen...

$24.44 SMPL Styled 18650 Mechanical Mod w/ Billow V2 Styled RTA Atomizer Kit (w/ Billow V2 RTA, Silver) at m.FastTech.com

It's a hybrid topcap mech with a crappy generic battery and a tank. Like as not, someone will buy this and blow their fool face off.

Aargh...

So you were running a 0.5 ohm coil at 3.8V? Roughly 28W. Standard rules still apply. Prime the coil, let it marinate several minutes, and start out low maybe 15-18W, and slowly work your way back up until you find your sweet spot. Might be right at 28W, or a bit higher or lower.

TC is a different ball of wax. Obviously selecting the proper coil type/metal is key. I don't know all the ins and outs of Sigelei, but kinda the same principle applies. Start at a lower temperature, just for yuks maybe 300 F to start, and work your way up until you find the temp that is most pleasing to you. With TC working properly, if you raise the temp too high, you'll end up with a hot vape, but at least not get a dry hit from it. There may be all sorts of other fun settings like a preheat and other goodies, but that's essentially it.

A little venting would be way better than what's likely to happen. Does FT still offer that 45 day return policy when it's in all those little pieces scattered over a 5 meter radius?

Conga-rats on the WIN!

I love my eGo ONE tanks. I have a few TC coils (some Ni and some Ti) as well as the CLR heads. Aerotank mebbe used the 1.5-1.8-2.1Ω coils? Like @Eskie says, start low (personally, I'd set a little lower - maybe 12-15W to start and work your way up? I build my CLRs between 0.7-1.2Ω and maybe run them no hotter than 15-18W. You can restrict the airflow (I prefer mine wide open) on the ONE tanks, so you can have a tight M2L to an airy M2L.

Re: TC - what *I* find with Temp Control - the Watts setting gets the coil up to temp as fast or as slow as you want. Once you hit temp, it just stays "consistent". Takes a touch of playing, but I'm finding that I enjoy it.

No, with the Aero I always kept things in the 1.2-1.8 ohm range. The Ego one tank has the 0.5 coil. Right now I'm running in wattage mode at 15.5w and it seems okay.

Oh. My bad. I thought you were already running that 0.5 ohm at 3.8V and trying to transition to using wattage instead of voltage. If the coil is working well at 15.5W and you're happy, you're all set.
