September 18th, 2013 was the start of Totally Tobacco Free (and I DO NOT consider vaping a tobacco product) :) I started vaping in 2009, but went back to smoking due to the crap equipment back then. I was having breathing problems in 2013 and put it in my mind I was going to make vaping work, which I did. When I started looking at what was on the market, I was happy with all the improvements, which has improved even more in the last 3 years. I have WAY too much gear (yea I know, no such thing), but I always spend a little to celebrate a vapeaversy. What I got at 2 years, turned out that I just didn't like it, but that's how it goes sometimes. I can't imagine with the deeming going back to gear from 2007, if there was any back then, I would be hard pressed to vape using something that old. I also have 2 iCares coming, one from FT (which will be here someday :facepalm:) and one from ecig-city which will be here Monday. :) All total this year I have spent less than $60, might buy something else as I normally spend around $100 on a vapeaversy, :D , just not sure what I want at this moment, as I don't Need Anything. :D
I have anniversary envy, @Burnie. :thumb:

I'd be honored. :thumb: And, Kat Dahling, I was just saying I envy Burnie for being three years out while I'm a measly six months.

Measly???

6 months is a GREAT start to a healthier new life!!

Heck 6 WEEKS is a milestone. Patience, grasshopper ;)

Really, we all set our own milestones. Consider the (usually failed) cold turkey method. It wasn't so much making it a month, or a week without a smoke. It was more like "another hour." :w00t:

I was one of the "lucky" ones when I came to vaping. Started with a couple of 650 egos and some CE5s. My first week was rough, having started at a nic level suggested by the B&M (there were 2, then, close enough to get to on a weekend - I live a bit out of any town :) ), and it wasn't enough for me. But once I got the right nic level, it was a satisfactory replacement. And less then two weeks as a vaper, when my normal morning chest rattle went away, I was sure it was going to work.

All the rest has been improving my gear and flavors, and making preps (for at least the last two years....) against the FuDA's actions...

@MikeADore

Congratulations on six months. You shouldn't feel bad just because some people started vaping before us. Every day should be a celebration.

As hard as it is to give up the smokes.

I will have a vape in your honour tonight.

I was just looking through my e-mail history (the vape folder) and saw that my first cigalike order was in the summer of 2009. I stuck with these dumb things for 4 years of dual use (but only a few cigs per day) until I ordered a couple of egos thanks to my joining ECF in 2013. My uncontrollable case of Shinyitis caused me to improve my equipment steadily until I bought my last pack of Marlboros on March 27, 2014. A very long road that I'm glad I took.

I still have the last pack of cigs on an end table in the living room. Sometimes visiting friends will bum one from that pack. I can't imagine the taste. They must be STALE...:shock:

There were times when 6 MINUTES was a milestone...

NOTHING at all measly about 6 months, MikeADore! It's a fabulous achievement. Every day is another in the accumulative process, and should be treasured!
