WARNING!!! My side-by-side ate my atty!

Wow! It's a sad sad day in Mudville today. My Knight v1 has eaten my favorite, first ever authentic, KFL+. I blame myself for not keeping an eye on it, but the air flow screw has backed out and now my prized atty is forever stuck in the Knight. This is one major drawback with a side-by-side, it's 80% concealed so there's no way to get any kind of tool in there to free it.

I'm thinking about cutting the mod up with a dremel to get the base plate out and trying to slice it up to get it off. I doubt this will work but what have I to loose. I love my KFL+, it's what got me off cigs. It has been shelved for the past year or more since I started using Kabuki's exclusively. I only recently put it back into service and maybe had 3 tanks through it before this happened.

Everyone please; please pay attention when servicing your gear. It's too late for me, but maybe this will help prevent another disaster....

Good Luck. I think it's the right move. I'm sure once you get it apart you'll have a way to get the Kayfun off it. Is there a way to get the mod apart with screws so maybe you can save both?

Can you take the bottom plate off and get to the 510 connection? Not sure if that would help or not..
Good Luck with it, Im sure with a Dremel you can get it out.

Well, the mod's a gonner, lol. The bottom did come off but I had to destroy thee board to get it out. The 510 on the mod IS threaded in place BUT there is a set grub screw under the atty. It's used to rotate the 510 so as to expose any air intake. Luckily, the body of the mod is zinc/pot metal so it should cut easily. The hard part will be dissecting the 510 base plate, looks substantial.

Hello.

My name is Phil.

It has become apparent via info I've gleaned from ECF and google that I am in fact a "Tootle Puffer"

Can I please become a part of this little corner of the internet?

I promise to behave myself, and to uphold the code of the Tootle Puffer....whatever that may be LOL

subscribed.

Maybe once the 510 is off you may be able to back the screw out from the bottom of the 510.

Oh no. I read further down you managed to rescue the kayfun at the expense of the mod.

I hate it when vaping gear turns BAD

It's not out yet, I just butchered the mod to see if it will be possible. I need to bring the appropriate tools home this weekend to continue this project...

Slow and steady wins the race ;)

Am I reading this right, you can run it with one 18650, or run it two 18650 with this kit?

ONE Mod | Complete Kit White with Grey face - $19.99 : DNA Box Mods, by HANA MODZ
With shipping $25.99

3 Years is coming up and looking at what to buy.

Order Placed  Like i needed another mod  But $25.99, WTH it's only money :D
Well it came in today
Lot lighter than I was thinking, but that is because it is all plastic. :( Hope I don't drop it
I have my TOBH dripper on it and it is working fine on 1 battery. Wish it had come with instructions, guess I will go online to find them. :(
Did come with a nice case for the whole kit. As hard as it is to change batteries, guess I will charge them in the device.
Not bad I guess for the price I guess.

I got mine too, Burnie. I opted for the full kit, so I am wondering whether I ought to just get some dedicated batteries for the bays, and like you, charge them within the mod?
