Wow! It's a sad sad day in Mudville today. My Knight v1 has eaten my favorite, first ever authentic, KFL+. I blame myself for not keeping an eye on it, but the air flow screw has backed out and now my prized atty is forever stuck in the Knight. This is one major drawback with a side-by-side, it's 80% concealed so there's no way to get any kind of tool in there to free it.
I posted this in another thread but thought it important enough to share here:
WARNING!!! My side-by-side ate my atty!

I'm thinking about cutting the mod up with a dremel to get the base plate out and trying to slice it up to get it off. I doubt this will work but what have I to loose. I love my KFL+, it's what got me off cigs. It has been shelved for the past year or more since I started using Kabuki's exclusively. I only recently put it back into service and maybe had 3 tanks through it before this happened.
Everyone please; please pay attention when servicing your gear. It's too late for me, but maybe this will help prevent another disaster....![]()
It gets easier to change batteries out as you go along. You get better at it and the little tabs loosen up some. But I have resorted to just USB charging them because I have plenty of devices to choose from and I figure its less wear and tear on the plastic parts taking them apart all the time. I will say this, a Dna40 with two 3000mah batteries in dual cell mode I can go for days without plugging that thing in. And its still small enough to pocket and take out of the house if you need it too.I got mine too, Burnie. I opted for the full kit, so I am wondering whether I ought to just get some dedicated batteries for the bays, and like you, charge them within the mod?

Ive never had em pop open even from a good smack on the ground which they have had a few. Sturdy little suckers that work and work and work and work.Sorry, I've been checked out for a bit. My meds weren't keeping up with the weather changes and I managed to piss off my pancreas again. No hospitals etc., just gotta back off the self-medication.
Congrats @Burnie!
Welcome @Nukesman!
I turned a buddy onto this the other day and he was really liking it, but he brought up an interesting point. How solidly do these pieces lock together? He and I are wondering how many pieces do you have if you drop it?
Nice job on the panelsI have been using the Evic AIO for a day now so I can give a quick impression.
Firstly, it has a lovely weight to it. It feels solid and well made without being too heavy. I adore the fire button and the obscure up and down button. I did not like the faux leather panels and so made some prototype resin panels to improve the touch in the hand. Menus are easy and the same as all the other Evic products. I am not sure how much all the displays use of the battery so turned off the clock and anything I could. I also like the immediate fire and there does not appear to be any delay from sleep. A huge requirement for me.
Secondly. The setup. I have had cubis tanks and I have learned that I don't like the factory coils but the RBA head with a horizontal coil has worked well in the past. However the RBA head with a horizontal coil is not very good in this device. The chimney does not extend and so there is very little vapour. Following suggestions by a method @gt_1955 wrote up I modded a factory coil to work and I must say this device is a keeper.
I can't see the point of using the adapter and putting a tank on top but the option is there and it works without any lose of power to the tank. I haven't tested all the TC setting so this is not really a review.
Lastly the failure point will be the various orings and the glass tank. Replacements are starting to appear so I don't think that will be too hard to manage.

That case almost convinces me. $20 for for a small lightweight beater mod, with a pretty nice carrying case? You guys are tempting me.

I'm so happy I went with blue after seeing your pics! My order still shows as processing.
