One little trick is to start your wires on the left side of the screw so that when your turn it to the right it will grab the wire as you tighten. Hope this helps poke.

You kind sir solved my problem, at least for today.

Hubby has lots of files, but none small enough to file the deck, but I said let me try the "left" side thing and it worked!!

I did it to all of my "Mini" style KF's (as per the instructions of @TrollDragon , hence the "TD Scratch" moniker), and it totally solved the issue. I could NOT get the dang wires to trap on those things.

Now, easy-peasy.

Never seen this trick that looks pretty smart.
