Ok after looking at my Cuboid I recommend that you take a look at the 510 pin. I remember that this was a problem with them. See if the 510 pin is stuck to far down. Try to see if you can get it to come up a little. The 510 sometimes gets stuck in the insulator of the connection. Take a small screw driver and carefully pry it up some to see if that fix's it.. Hope so...:)
I think it may be stuck. Its just above the black ring. I did try to pry it out a bit and it wouldn't budge. I also tried two other tanks on it because the connection are diff lengths. The gs air and crown and kayfun didn't work but oddly enough the limitless did.

Try putting some Isopropyl alcohol in there and use a q-tip to clean it out. Could be some e-juice that's locking it up. Then try again to pry it out carefully. That's definitely the problem. Pin needs to be raised.

I've got a cuboid mini 80 - stand alone (didn't get the box tank)

when I first put an atty on I noticed BIG COMPRESSION of the center pin
so I screw'd on an atty till it touched then sqweez'd-a little more- then a little more-then even a little more-till my atty sits flush

:2c:-:2c:
the pin is SQUARE and has no 'head' to pry up
what you need (if we assume this is the problem) is some SILICONE Spray (silicone) (I think Isopropyl alcohol will worsen problem  dry chap-sticky) - IMO
then upside down, tap the unit or even better a set of micro needle-nose to grab the pin, pull/wiggle it back up

this is a classic old innokin MVP situation you fell into
I'd guess your pin was not lubed (it was dry) and you drove the pin down inside and it stuck in there (but WHY did store have no prob's ?)

good luck
:)

Rubbing alcohol is just used to dissolve/loosen/remove the liquid residue and free up the pin. Once used, silicone spray might be an ok idea. Maybe better to use dielectric grease... just a dot on a q-tip is all that's needed. Dielectric grease is made for threaded connections that need to carry a current... silicone is an insulator...

the thing is BRAND NEW - should be no build up
will be no way to get dielectric grease to creep down into the dry walls of the center pin cavity
alcohol will dry it out and make it brittle also not releasing the pin - IMO

silicone will not hurt ANYTHING and you could basically submerge unit in it with no harm (tho I wouldn't)
just DON'T wanna use a petroleum based lube

my pin on the mini80 was maybe the most extreme travel and stiffness I ever had on a mod (that I can remember)
I recognized it right off, then " worked " mine down in carefully...

I've only used the eGo ONE tanks on it, so far :)

:) :2c:

:shock::shock::shock: Just did a little Math :shock::shock::shock:

Since September 2013
Equipment Cost $4390.55
Ejuice/DIY Supplies Cost $1988.25
Total Cost $6378.80

But I still saved a lot over smoking, $11,791.01 - $6378.80 = $5412.21 in savings, so really I am far ahead and have lots to show for it instead of just ashes from cigs. :w00t:
