Yes, and I like non metallic tasting. Hopefully I'll get along better with this one than the k5

Wash, scrub, boil, rinse, repeat.

There can be all kinds of production stuff in there. Oil, machine fluid, metal fragments.

Maybe a good cleaning would help with the V5 problem. Sometimes they come in with a funky, machine oil taste (all metal tanks). I had it happen with one of my early tanks, so I just automatically clean before using now. I just bought some denture cleansing tablets and drop them into a plastic cup filled with water. Some folks clean them more thoroughly, I think.
