@ChelsB to lower nic from your 18mg juice do this: to make 16mg juice mix equal parts 18mg & 14mg will give you juice that contains 16mg. Personally I wouldnt go lower than 2mg at a time. Just mix a small amount , maybe 10 of each so you will end up with 20 mls.

To calculate the amounts you add two strenghts such as 18 and 10 then divide by 2 to get the new level of nic. In this case 14

Mind telling me what that one is?
That's the Geekvape Karma kit... The kit comes with the Karma RDTA (which converts to RDA), and the Black Ring mod... it's hybrid, but one of the safest mech mods I've ever seen.

Not in my book!
Fact is I don't own a topper that would be safe to use on it.
Kit comes with topper. However, calling a mod unsafe because of topper choices? The body is delrin lined to eliminate accidental contact shorts. The device self-adjusts to eliminate battery rattle... no screws to fiddle with. Recessed magnetic switch with a decent throw.

It may be a little bit early.

I never would have thought after struggling thru the first few days I would have made it this far.

I wouldn't have thought of washing it before using it!

I just use soap and hot water, after tearing it down, of course. Used to be EVERY tank came with some free machine oil...

(And your other question, not quoted. I tend to build to 1.5 Ω with a 2 mm id for all my KF2s.You can go to a bigger diameter if you wish, lots of room. But why pre-made coils? Easy to build, and pretty forgiving.)

It's still a faux hybrid with nothing to prevent installing an unsafe topper.
A hybrid mod should never have 510 threading!

Yep. Have done it several times now with no problem.

When I top fill my Kayfun lites it works sometimes other times I end up with a little puddle out the air hole.I need to practice this some more and get it right cause the phillips fill screw is getting a tad worn.:(

    Wow...

If it had a 510, it wouldn't be hybrid...

I agree that hybrid top caps are worrisome. This does not make the mod unsafe.

My car has lots of safety features, but is not suitable for cruising ocean floors... solution: don't drive on ocean floors.

Likewise, this mod has lots of sadety feature, but is not suitable for aromizers with short or flush 510 center pins... solution: don't use atomizers with short or flush 510 center pins.

Conversely, if a device were made with no lining, no lock, no recessed switch, ragged, battery wrap shredding interior machining, no battery rattle adjutment, cheap, sticky, crunchy spring switch BUT a proper 510, would it then be safer?

As Smacksy said, be sure to invert it (after starting the top cap on, of course!!) before you finish tightening the top cap. Only then release the finger plug on the air intake. I fill my 3.1s that way, easier than with the little ball check valve port. And, after the cap is snug and it's right side up, take a couple draws to help re-establish the vacuum.

While I understand that many toppers won't be suitable for use on a device like this, that doesn't make it an unsafe mod, any more than any mech is unsafe in the hands of someone who hasn't taken time to learn about them. I currently already have a 4nine Prime for example. I rarely use it, but when I do I'm well aware of which attys I can safely put on top of it.

It's safe for me to use because I took the time to study and learn about hybrid mechs. I would never on the other hand sell it or give it away to someone that didn't prove to me that they understand both mech safety and protruding center pins because I wouldn't be sure it was safe for them to use. Safety is about the user's level of knowledge, not the device.

A chainsaw is unsafe in the hands of the wrong person, that doesn't mean we should stop everyone from using them...
