I bought all kinda of kayfun stuffs from fasttech for my kayfuns. The things I bought worked just fine, the bellcaps were well spent money, used them more than the stock tank. I also bought a few of the quartz tanks and hmmm.....your putting a lot of faith in 2 thin orings holding the kayfun together and the tank partially blocked the fill port so it made refilling a nightmare. Too bad all my kayfuns seeped a bit from the fill port except my original Russian. Drilled the airflow bigger in a couple that improved them a bit, vaped my first .8 subohm build in a kayfun and again like my first cotton build in my protank, eyes rolled back and a sense of wow I can get use to this.... The kayfun filling became a hassle so I went looking for another tank and now its subtank mini's using the rba, they have performed amazing for us and not needing to upgrade in any way none too soon.
I agree with you about the stupid O Rings holding the Quartz tank together. Mine came apart snd dumped a Tank of Juice in my pocket.

Hi all, I try to stay away from asking too many basic (stupid) questions but I need to know this: can you use TC coils in regular mode? I know it doesn't work vice versa. Thanks guys for humoring me[emoji4]

No. (Other than SS, if wound to an acceptable resistance.)

Answer is yes and no (literally)

Yes to Stainless Steel for both modes
Never to Titanium or Nickel. In power mode

Wondering why when the other day a tank wasn't working on my pico, it started working in bypass mode?
And is it more "risky" using bypass mode?
See, this is why I'm glad you keep asking questions. Because, often you ask about things I havent thought to ask about and then when you get an answer I learn something new too.

So no more apologizing for asking questions.

Bypass mode is straight battery power to coil... no power or temp control. Like an unregulated mod.

SS coils will work in SS TC, and power (wattage/voltage) modes. Ni200 and Ti#1 should ONLY be used in their respective TC modes.
