I haven't said because I really haven't decided. From what I gathered earlier was that this was voluntary if you wanted to participate in the rewards program that was offered at work. I found out last night that it has been decided by upper management that everyone has to have it done. Personally, I think it's unconstitutional because it's basically telling the employees that the company can control what you do. I may explore other health insurance options.

One has to wonder what choice Patrick Henry might have made in 2017. :(:grr:

Especially since they are going to penalize me for using ecigs instead of smoking cigarettes. And no offense to anyone here, but 3/4 of the people who work here are overweight to grossly overweight. I would think they would be better off to go after them to lose weight rather than attack ecig use.

Essentially, yes. The only way they can test for cigarette use is to screen for cotinine. Unfortunately, it won't differentiate a cigarette smoker from NRT or vaping, so everyone is lumped together by insurance carriers.

My thought also... if it's a testing then clean up beforehand.

The anger that wells up in me is unhealthy (a lifelong challenge). I'll never understand what they're thinking.

If you want to be sure, a week. If you don't vape all that much maybe you'll be below threshold in 3 days.

Someone did the test last yr and documented it and it took more than 7 days for the nicotine to be out of the system

Thinking? They are reacting without thought, looking for political favor. It is the climate of the day.
There are times when anger is not only a rational response, it is the only rational response.

There IS a health crisis in the US. The cause of the problem can easily be traced to a certain class of product. Said products ARE being heavily marketed towards CHILDREN. There is very little regulation (as in none) in place to prevent this travesty...

Obesity and diabetes are the number 2 cause of death in the US...

Here's my thoughts on that as a parent.... You are the parent, you pay the bills, you bring the groceries home... not your child.

Unfortunately, the PC crowd doesn't think, they FEEL.

PC? I'm about as "PC" as it's possible to be, and this has nothing to do with that. Do you really think that insurance companies are directed by people who are super worried about equal rights for women and people of color, etc and that's why they are invested in excluding vapers from coverage? I'd be interested in hearing more about that.
