Thank you, much appreciated. I'm quite comfortable with single coil builds and am merely expanding my knowledge. There are, however, times when I need advice from those more experienced than I [emoji4]

And you're getting it, sometimes draped in an acid tone by those forgetting that they too were noobs at one time, long (or not so long) ago.

Just me, it appears as if both coils are too close to the center post for my way of building.
Try slightly longer legs, so when mounted in the base the coils sit farther away from the center post.
After mounting coils & tightening screws pulse a few times don't worry about how it glows at this point, then adjust coil position & strum / fiddle while pulsing to get them even. Allow to cool, check the mounting screws to be sure they're tight.
Looks like a whole lota of wraps, SS?

Thank you! Actually, those were just some pre-wound coils I had laying around (mystery coils I foolishly bought off eBay before I learned better) which I now use for practice. I'll try again with longer legs

If you look from the top you'll see how much clearance you have to the edge of the deck. Use the mandrel to position the coil first. Before wicking, thread on the chimney and pulse. With the restricted space there, the coils could short on the chimney wall so check for that first. If they're shorting, provided the resistance is high enough, unwind a couple of wraps. That should allow you to center the coils without touching the chimney walls.

Well, you quoted my post while I was editing it trying to make a little more sense.
I don't know if my edit helps, you so fast girl...

Oops, sorry! I'm already off of work and am now in my woman's cave tinkering. So as soon as my phone dinged that someone had quoted my post, I jumped on it![emoji4]

Another mystery part I've discovered (I'm going through my entire stash and organizing it properly). It has no threading. I'm tempted to toss it but am curious if one of you knows what it goes to?

As far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as moving too fast, you move at your own speed.
I totally agree with you. Kudos to Chels for watching the vids and trying it. And for asking for advice when something didnt quite go well. Videos are great teaching tools but there is nothing like doing.

That's how we learn new things.

Thanks, Bea! Like it or not, I'm not going anywhere...the info is too valuable and I've still so much to learn (not that I was told to go away, but you get the idea). I've learned many lessons here, to read the manual first and watch tutorials before asking questions. Plus, I've grown fond of many of you TP'ers![emoji4]

I have lost count on how many orders I have placed in the last two years.

I can't keep track of how many times I've ordered because they only keep 4 pages of orders! I used to use that information to re-order things. Then things started dropping off the list!!!!

Something not quite right about that. Mine goes to 16 pages. They seem to get dropped after 2 years.

So that's why they drop off! Two years! I don't order all that frequently. It's still annoying though. I want to see ALL my orders. {pout}

So do/did I! And, in fact, I opened a (useless) ticket with FT to attempt to see my orders from the beginning. What a waste of time, and quite the silly prospect. They kept referring me to the SKU of an item I questioned from a very old order. I didn't really need the SKU. I just wanted to see the order.

The rep found the order. OoooooooooooooK, so how's come I couldn't see it? You guys may or may not believe this, but they asked if I would give them the password to my account (now changed, of course) so that they could check.

I did. They did. But (alas <head thrown back, back of palm on forehead>) to no avail.

"Please kindly note that we checked it in our system which is different with you.

We had passed this issue to relevant department, but we can't find the reason.

You can ask us to check the order number for you.

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience caused in this case.

Thank you for your patience and understanding."

Ummm, patience? Understanding? Welp, I certainly didn't have it then, so thank you guys for letting me know that we're cut off after two years.

<mumbling words inappropriate to ECF>

You're welcome.

And I have learned all sorts of things from your questions. My vape style is really simple and I'm not likely to ever use that info but I like learning new things…learning is power.
