Help with Zen atty Pro

I started this over in the Genisis forum, but if any of the tootle puffers have ideas to help me, I would appreciate it. If @VapeLuvr can jump in the deep end with both feet, I figured it was the kick in the hiney that I needed to try something besides a factory coil. ;)

I'm glad my incessant questions are giving you inspiration![emoji4]

Yeah, 95% of my mods are black or silver(SS and aluminum counted as silver for this discussion), 95% of my attys are black or silver. That way any atty looks good on any mod. Huh, so I guess in a way I do kinda do the matchy matchy thing.

Pretty much the same here too, although I do have a few gold Kfs

Hey Shawn, how do you like the Petri rta? I've used mine so much, the gold plating is wearing off.
I really like it. I've run prolly 30 ml through the current build and 0 leaks, great flavor.

I was wondering if the "PT Style" ones are any good. I bought the real thing from the get go, usually I get a clone and then decide if I get the authentic.

Mine is the 24 mm clone. There are a few niggles, but no regrets...

thanks, that's good to know. I may get a clone of three from Shen Ray. I'm waiting for a first order from them, I know it will be late since they're including a replacement part that they don't sell to the public.

@cats5365 I'm not very experienced, but I love all my Z attys. It might just be an optical illusion but to me it looks as though your bottom attachment is touching the base, even looks like the wire is not under the screw. Just a guess.

Starting w a Genesis is tough.. mesh and spaced coils can be finicky as heck.

I'm not saying give up but you could also grab an RTA for your collection and start with a micro coil and cotton which is much more forgiving and simple... Get a win under your belt as you continue to learn Genesis build.

Just a thought.

The bottom wire is pinched under the screw as far as I can tell. It won't pull out, and I did that twisty bit Zen did to break the tail off the wire. The wire is touching the plastic sleeve I inserted into the deck hole and threaded the coil mesh through. The only place I can see wire touching the base is where it is trapped under the screw. When I built this one, I was following along with Zen in the Provape video he did for them, and the one that is linked in the Gen thread I started.

I do have some parts for my Nauti X quad survivor, but haven't tried them yet. Watching the videos on this one made it look like you didn't have to be so careful about pretty coils, and since I had the parts sitting out, I wanted to try it first. I expected to at least get the wire to glow even if it didn't vape well.
