Why 'nope'? It's the height, isn't it. That's what ya don't like, right? It IS rather, umm, tall.

Well yeah but it's not like one can make a habit of using it! Hahaha.. most certainly cannot take that in public!

You can't??? Uh oh.......... (too late)

Yeah, watch the review as it has all the details. This device has been around quite some time and was one of the very first all in one devices (maybe the first). It now sports an evolv DNA 40 chipset and uses an 18650 battery which are both improvements over previous models (IMO).

That said, there are experts in this thread who own 'em, love 'em and know all the ins and outs and will surely chime in here to give the full low down.

I think you guys have done an absolutely SUPERB job of describing the B Box. It's an incredible piece of vape gear, and a work of art. For pocketability, nothing beats it. Simply nothing.

I have seen rev 3's on ebay for about $150. They take two 16340 batteries, and are V/V. This is looking tempting to me. But then, as with all of them I guess, you have to find the different choices of atties to use with them.
The rev 4's are the more expensive. They use one 18650 battery and are VV/VW. There is a new, I believe, DNA 60 with TC.
This concludes my very limited knowledge of the BB. :)
I have wanted one since they first came out, but didn't want a two battery s/u.
From what I understand, new ones off the website, are as hard to get as the Reos used to be.

Harder, in fact, opl. You have to learn allllllllll the tricks of a mad F5 Sale day, and then ya still cross fingers and hope.
I also wanted one from the get-go, and jumped on the pre-order list back in December of 2012. I've never regretted that purchase (or the subsequent ones).

I happen to prefer the Rev 3, but I don't mind the dual batt set up at all. It's wonderful to have choices. OPTIONS!

The newest one is like 360$, would you really pay that for a mod?

Abstolutely.

I want a BB, I would never buy a clone. But that is just me. I'm not against clones, it's just with something like this, that I would consider special, I would pay for the authentic.

Why stop with just a drip tip, when you can have the whole mod?

Rather than quote 2,000 comments I will generalize.

All my billet boxes are rev 3's. I have about 20 in various colours. They are both my favourite device and the base for my art resin panels. I started buying them 2 years ago because the shape, look and design just struck a cord with me. The rev 4 does't do the same so I don't have any or any plans to get them.

When the rev 4 came out people sold me their older Rev3's for anywhere between 100-200US (including extra's) and they are one of the few box mods that I can hold and use all day. (dodgy hands). I use the Atmistique billet bridge which allows me to use the little non nautilus coils. They hold 6ml of eliquid and I have 4 flavours. They are not cheap to set up but overtime I have amassed all the bits and spares included with box packages and all bar 3 are secondhand.

I have the two dicodes dani tube mods and they are sleek and lovely to hold. Both the chips are instant fire and instant shut off which is mandatory for my 2 sec fairy puffs. The dicodes boxes are nice but not something I would buy. The size and shape are not quite there for me.

I have just bought another rev3 from FB. Its the gold one that I didn't have. I have made panels for a colourset and would normally use them but I am working with a lot of resin in my painting at the moment and the chemicals are reacting with the panels so I am back to the carbon fibre versions for the time being.

My Cherry Vape drip tips came in today and they are really nice. Two things caught my attention.

First, the diameter of the bottom is slightly smaller on the pawn style than the ming, so each may be a bit tight or loose depending on your topper.

Second, they are acrylic and therefore will break more easily than delrin. I had one installed and my setup fell off a table onto a carpeted floor, and the tip snapped off at the base. One tip down, seven to go.:(

I should have learned a couple years ago when I bought an acrylic mod from Madvapes and it was a beauty, like a psychedelic woodgrain. It cracked on my second drop and shattered on my third.

I am not qualified to use the purty stuff. Special occasions only and I better have a backup. Delrin is my daily driver once again.

Re the clones. I have bought the rev3 clones. When I started colleting the BB's I could easily buy the silver ones. So I bought clones and stripped out the chip and replaced them with genuine boards and internals from the genuine silvers. This gave me the coloured ones that I wanted. The clone enclosures were ok but the CF was cheap and these hybrid (clone/genuine) became the first bases for my new panels. I still have some of them setup.

The Rev3 clone chip/board and internals are a bit dodgy and I doubt they would take the use I put them through.

I'm super interested in hearing from the BB fans. Is it really worth it?

I get asked this quite often. Its a very personal choice. I always believe that you when you find the right device for you it becomes part of who you are. Over the 5 years of vaping I spent lots and lots looking for the one setup that I could happily vaping for decades. When I found the billet boxes (3) I knew that they were it. The flip side is the provaris. again they are the ones. both of these were expensive but I found them to be adaptable to what I wanted to do. From then on I have rarely purchased anything new. The dicodes dani's were purchased from the proceeds of a few provari sales so just slotted right in. But that is all. The rest of my gear remains the same as it was a few years ago.

People tell me that they are old tech and haven't kept up with the times but the reality is that they fit my style perfectly. I don't need 18650 batteries, I don't need 80w, I don't need clouds and the coils I use work across both sets (BB & cerotanks on my provaris). I fill the BB every couple of days and the batteries daily. Its the perfect lazy persons vaping.

Plus I can change the look anytime I want to by switching the panels.

What is the difference between winding clockwise and counter clockwise coils? I don't see how this could impact performance

It doesn't impact performance unless you live at either pole or on the equator.

No.... sorry... I is funnin' ya...

Some decks have the post hole set up in such a fashion that winding one way makes sense over the other.

I guess that's something you just learn with practice. I'll try both ways and see which makes the most sense. Thank you kindly![emoji4]

With a single coil I don't think it does... it more of the RDAs that are dual coil and it helps fit your cotton in better an align the coils. One this way the other that way. velocity style decks don't matter.

I've only tried dual coils once. Honestly, I don't see the need [emoji4]

What a day! Up early (for me), and out the door with a quart of coffee. Quick breakfast at the park's restaurant, then an hour van ride to Harriet, AR. Switched to a bus, then another half hour ride. Spent about 4 hours on the Buffalo - America's first national river - in my capacity of river guide and raft paddler... 9.6 miles, and man, are my arms and back gonna let me know about it later. Out of the river and back on in the van at 3 pm for another hour trip back home... ain't no Ozark roads short roads. I got home to a stack of vape mail, and I'm too durn beat to do anything but look at it.

*sigh*

Oh, you'll know when you have a deck requiring reverse coils... the Serpent Mini springs to mind...
