My only concession to matchy or blingy. This is my setup for today. Totally love it! Sorry it's so big!! I can't resize on my phone.

Lynn, that looks HAWT!!!

That is pretty. When you purchase colored glass what brand do you think is best? Or do you think that even matters? I am looking at fasttech.

My only colored replacement glass has been via FT. I may be the voice of dissention, but then again, I do use kwite a few charms on my tanks. I've found that the FT glass is kwite a bit LESS than durable. The coating they use just peels by looking at it. Or, should you use charms.

But they're cheap enuf to stock up if you like a particular color.

Why wasn't it necessary, I was simply saying why I couldn't build. I don't want a burden taking off my shoulders at all an how "can I not be trusted under any circumstances"... herb I think you should go away, I can't swear on here or I would! Stop being a prat.

Old skool rulz...... "Attack the post, not the poster."

Vaping has been more expensive than smoking for me, sorry but I can get a pouch of tobacco for 20$ an it lasts a week. My liquid an coils cost more than that an I can't be bothered with diy an building :(

Don't get discouraged, @Skold. It took me six months to break even (had to find my "zone"). After that the savings began ringing up large.

I'm far from the best case study for savings, but even me has seen amazing financial results, now 5.5 years in. My spend has been 49% of what I would have spent on cigs during the same period, representing a real savings of $37,407.30

Don't get discouraged - it will spin up soon. Find that zone, and roll in the savings. It WILL come. :)

T for Texas!
I have done a bit of diy, but takes too long to steep!
Well, being a software developer for a quarter century of my life let's approach this with logic :)

You buy a couple of bottles of your favorite juice just like you do now.
At the same time you buy your DIY gear and you DIY the juices you mention above and you put them back to steep.
You continue to use your purchased juice for the next 2 weeks at which time your steeped juice is now ready to go.
You switch to your DIY juice and create another batch of DIY at the same time so that in 2 weeks it is now ready.

After this short process you are completely off purchased juice and completely on DIY juice (if you so choose).

Building takes all of 5 minutes tops to build a coil

Can I borrow a third hand and a second eye. I did try to build a subtank RBA last night. Gave up.

And that makes it good that you have the choice to not build or diy. There's no law that says you have to do either but you pay for that convenience, literally, in a bigger bottom line. Whatever works for you is the way you should do it ;)

It really depends on what it used to cost to smoke. I can blisterpack my coils and buy my juice for $40 per month.

Now you pushed me over the purchasing edge! lol!

But you said you were done. I'm waiting for the CC to cut off so I can get another load of stuff.

I think herb was making a joke based on an alternate usage of the word shaky in the US.

Jay :headbang:

Speaking of alternate words we need to get the aussies among use to post a picture vaping in thongs.

It took me six months to break even. Still using stuff I bought at that time.

Funny how I make at least 3 vaping purchases a week and there's no issue, but once my card is used at Victoria's Secret, all the flags go up! They certainly know their customers spending habits!

Or even easier. Just use a protank coil in it and turn the airflow way down

Yup there's that and it works well too, with the top silicone gasket thing doubled up.
If you put the protank bottom grommet in the air tube of the RBA,you get a rba with a tight draw.(I use the v1 RBA)
Each to their own though. :)

Can you maybe take a pic or 2 of this grommet set up so that I fully understand?

While I understand your point, and obviously everyone has to decide their own priorities, I can easily diy and build in less time each week than it took me to roll my smokes for a week.

Even though it seems like I spend like crazy (and yes I do!), I'm not spending anymore than I did on cigs! Something I remind my husband of very often, especially when I don't get to the mailbox first! Lol!

Good morning Tp'rs consider all posts liked :p

I just read all the comments about reducing nic and wondered why people felt they should be reducing nic levels. Is it peer pressure or a general feel of I don't need as much.

Way back when we started on 8mg (misunderstood the amount of nic we were smoking) it worked though and we stopped smoking immediately. Over the years I dropped that to about 6 but not for any reason other than it was easier to mix when I changed brands of nic. Hubby dropped when he went sub ohm because he felt he was getting too much nic.

I decided ages ago that I was happy with my nic content and had no intention of getting lower or even off nic but I find a lot of posts where people have plans to be on zero nic. I know that my body is programmed to function with nic and thats ok by me.
    I'm with ya, @Krisma !

+1! Are we still talking about the subtank nano?

I guess not because Shawn said the STM RBA coil does not fit in the nano (which I imagine would be turn-off for you since you are mastering the building of those)

I can't build dude I'm too shaky, but I have done diy (quite alot)
I missed that when I was replying, and thought it was mostly a time issue. Sorry. Others may have suggestions, but I can see why it would be easier to just use factory coil heads in that case.

That's part of what's so wonderful about vaping, we can choose how we do it to make it all work how we want it to. In my case I'd want that extra $40 a month to go towards more gear and flavorings, but those are my priorities and everyone's mileage varies. :thumb: Without a doubt, despite all the packages that come into my mailbox, I'm spending less to vape than I did while smoking and enjoying it a million times more than I ever enjoyed smoking.

Correct! I those little RBAs are great! But other options with coils are always nice!

Anyone have experience with the subtank nano? I love the mini and thought I'd try the nano....

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have both. It depends on what coils you use. I do not like the . 5 coils in the Nano, the tank is too small and there is not enough air for me to vape that low on it. I do like the 1.2 coil in it. I use it at about 17 watts and it works great. I like the smaller mm size of the nano on my macro and/or Hana mods because I am really "funny" about atties handing over the side.

Unflavored isn't too bad ;) It's helped me through a couple rounds of vapers tongue

I vape unflavoured regularly,I like the taste of ....ummmm no taste. To get rid of vapours tongue I vape a light green apple ....if that makes any sense?
