I dug up a camera and took two pics of the PT coil bottom grommet in the air tube of a subtank rba.
Here you go...

I see the rubber PT insulator burning or adding a hot rubber taste sitting in the bottom of the RBA like in the pics. I just thought putting it under the drip tip to tighten the airflow some since its too big to put into the RBA tube. You musta cut off or trimmed the top lip off the insulator to get it in there like that but I'd still push it down more to get it away from the heat of the coil. Getting it out of there to clean the gunk out of the tube that will accumulate having the insulator in there from normal vaping is going to be interesting.

Yep, that's the one mate :thumb: but I have mine running a single 28AWG coil @ 1.0Ω and 17.5W but due to the chamber size and air flow, the flavour is muted in comparison to say the O16 (and other RDAs of it's ilk). In my case, that doesn't really matter, as I use a minimally flavoured tobacco juice

Some people spell in english, other people don't (ref: flavour - definition of flavour in English | Oxford Dictionaries ) :p

    As was I ;)
Yeah, I think it really needs a dual coil build to get the most from it. My experience with trying a single coil in the Limitless Plus was that it lost a lot of the flavour.

Yeah, I was worried about a burnt taste too.

Yep , the $30 one includes tank sections for a 5ml ss tank, 5ml pc tank, 2ml ss tank and 2ml pc tank. The cheap one is only the 5ml pc tank.
@RainSong does the fact that it comes with a SS tank change things for you? It does for me!

Does anyone know if the ft stm-styled tanks are any good? or should I just stick with the real deal?

I don't know about the top fill styled STM. I bought the bellcaps and they have worked great, roasted 1 of the bellcaps having the coil too high in the RBA(lesson only learnt once) and OMG nasty. If I did get a STM styled I would swap all the rings for authentic ones since their orings come into question with many attys they sell. My only concern with the bellcaps is stripping the threads but I haven't yet in the almost 2 years of using them.

Considering my STM o ring stash has markedly increased due to them being available at DFW for 1 cent, that won't be a problem. Think I have enough?[emoji38]

I had my kayfuns shelved for eons and for fun I set a build into one and they aren't my cup-o-tea no more but still a enjoyable tight vape. Was reading threads and just like you went to refill, not watching and removed the tank and left the base, only a couple mls on my hand but I still did it.

Seems to be TW rebranding of the cubis.

Btw I don't have one but have researched it.

I'm SO glad I asked and didn't just buy Willy nilly . I just pulled out the 'ol Cubis and was reminded of how much I dislike it. I'm currently wiping ejuice off my face after all the spit back from that awful tank!
