Sweet 'n Spice, mind if I add you to my list-not-a-real-list of KF expertos? The bits and bobs do konfuse me at times, too.

Feel free to contact me at any time, Kat. More than happy to help where I can.

Ft has so many mix and match it is difficult to keep straight sometimes.

I like DTL but it just doesn't cut it in keeping me off the smokies but yeah your right, the ne Kayfuns ain't actually MTL like the older models such as the lite...
That was my point before!!

In my opinion the last good atty svoemesto made was the 3.1.
That one was a pain to fill. The needle bottles or syringes necessary and it leaked quite badly for which they had to push a fix iirc.

I still think the ehpro kayfun plus clone is the best of all of the authentic or clones. I wish I could get one in a config I want. All I can find are full metal. I guess I could piece one together. I really fee like the second air hole made it shine.
@Dubminer, @RainSong

FT confirmed that the replacement acrylic tanks for the Doggy will fit the SXK SKU:

"Thanks for your inquiry.
The item sku 7685602 fits the item sku 6353800.
Please feel free to write us whenever you have questions. We're always here to help."

$6.54 Replacement Acrylic Tank for Doggy RTA Atomizer (5-Pack) 5-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I'm going to get a pack and confirm also myself because we all know sometimes the support team gets a bit confused :)
Please do post back on that. I. Ought the sjmy specifically for the better tank and larger air flow but I'd consider trying the sxk if the tank fits. Thanks for doing that.
+1 on 28 gauge.

26 is a bit thick for a kayfun but as long as you keep over 1ohm you'll do fine with it, its more the lack of airflow that puts the restriction of how low you can build. 28 is a nice all round gauge to tootle puff a kayfun. You'll notice your batts drain faster ramping up the 26 gauge to get a decent vape cause its going to take a bunch of wraps to get into the 1.2-1.4 ohm threshold that IMO is the sweet range of a kayfun, thats why the 28 is nicer. I think I made 6 wraps on 3mm rod and came out to 1.2ohm with the 28 gauge kanthal....or something like that...its been a while.

I use 28 on the KFM 3. Tried some 30g hoping slightly smaller wire would be easier to trap, but it seems harder to me.

Sometimes I can install a new coil pretty quickly, but daaaang some days it seems like I struggle and struggle and then struggle some more to keep the wire from popping out while I'm tightening down the posts. The only bad thing about the mini. However, I finally have a Coil Master tab on the way, so that miiiiight make it a bit easier.

30 is my preferred gauge. I use it in everything I own, the KFL shorties, ego CLR's, Doggies, Exo and ST Mini for the Billet Box , and the O-16 BF'rs.

So for all you above don't sleep on the odd gauges. I am a huge fan of both 27 and 29 gauge and 31 in the piccoloid build out around 2 ohm is great. I actually find the odd gauges work so much better. 27 is the best of 26 and 28. 29 is like 28 but heats faster. 31 is wicked fast hearing and making a contact coil you can chuck some vapor with high resistance builds.

Most of us got started and were told about 24/6/8/etc and didn't ever try the odd gauges. Since I've changed to odd gauges I won't go back. 27 in atomizers that can take it is really good as is 29.

Anyway try some I think you'll be really happy.

I am a ball of stress topped by a gigantic headache getting ready to pack a family of 5 for a week away. And lazy me should have mixed liquid last night to have some of the flavors I want for the week. Guess I'll have to add that to tonight's to do list. One more work shift, one more sleep and then on vacation! Wonder if there's a vape store in the tiny town I'm headed to.

Oh God, it will be worth it. Between being a mom and a massage therapist I give and give and give. I need this week, my giving tank is EMPTY.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation. I wish I could hire you as I'm post two necks jr heroes and really having a hard time. While the nerve damage was greatly alleviated and led to better range of motion I'm in a lot more pain now than before the surgeries. I opted for s couple of "keyhole surgeries" rather than fuse four discs. They used a small drill to grind away portions of my spine. Anyway let's just say that small incision does not easy surgery make. I was duped into thinking they'd be no big deal.

@Two_Bears you must vape similar to me cos I use 26g too, coincidence that I build to 0.8 too! I also prefer the 0.7 in the nautilus though & vape at 15-20 watts. So probably higher than some tootle on here.
Try 27 gauge! I prefer to vape like you. Higher output mtl. That said I think the n2 .7 and the .6 vapefly cold burn out really fast at like 20 watts.
Hi everyone. I hope you are all well, I've missed you guys! With over 600 posts since I've been on here, it's not likely I'll get caught up. So consider yourself liked!

I'd like to say I've been totally active and have a new job, but until today I've been in a depression. I think I'm finally working my way out of it though. Hence, me coming back on! I just didn't feel like I had anything to contribute. But like I said, I'm starting to feel better today

I'm sorry you haven't been feeling yourself. Hang in there.

Question for those of you that re-use premade coils. How much mileage do you get out of them? How many times are you able to do the vodka soak?
Totally depends on the coil. I try to measure in ml but my big direct lung coils last way longer than the little mtl. I think I'm vaping too hot for them to stand up

Tel me about the vodka soak. Are you guys talking about taking something like a nautilus coil and soaking it in vodka ?

What's he process? Soak and let dry and just go?

For coils I make I just dry burn and do the glowing coil submerge in water to get the crud off.

I've tried some of the "new" Pod mods for stealth vaping at work. Overall not a fan. Too finicky and not consistent. Also very costly $$

Picked this little one today. Decided to go a lil old school. Ego One Mini kit. I'm really digging this set up. Soo tiny. The draw and vapor production blow away the pod systems I've been trying out. Wish I had gotten this one first.

Make sure you try the clr coils. They're so much better than he could coils. I still think this is one of the best mini kits around.

The icare go has really wound up being s disappointment for me. It's just so inconsistent. My little vape right now is the mega volt and vapefly Nicolas but I think the clr coils in he right tank are still better. I am still testing though.

No demerits for me! I caught up hard! I deserve a bling upgrade.

@RainSong are you in Arizona too? That's where I am! Maybe I can hire you !!!! Where about are you I'm in the north valley around Cave Creek and union hills area.

It's been so hot here. We had a nice break for two days now he torture begins. Eh according to dark sky servers it's not that bad.

27 gauge is in my FT cart based on your earlier recommendation! :)

I find it interesting that someone uses the non mainstream gauges of wire. I can say that I did think about using 29 but just stuck to the regular gauges. I build a 1.4ohm 28/34 spaced clapton 14watt for my wife and I have to fandangle it a bit to fit nicely into a subtank RBA, maybe 1 less wrap using the 29 as her clapton core could work but I'd have to order more wire, not like I have 4 lifetimes worth already...yay vapemail. I get 6+ months out of a clapton build for my wife so her clapton builds are quite robust compared to the same ohm in a single wire build and I rarely dryburn and keep any single wire build anymore, more work to refurbish than too coil a new build. Rayon too, she vapes 50mls a week of a cotton candy I make(4% HS desert ship/1% sig CC) and she goes 3+ weeks before her atty burns and no way you can get that much distance with cotton wick. I don't keep track of nothing related to juice consumption or how long a build lasts, I just know that I make 200mls a month of juice for my wife cause I have to keep ahead so she has steeped juice ready. Too old to remember exact day I built my wife a new coil, as long as she's happy thats what matters.

I'm curious…What's your most favorite juice flavor?

I'll go first. A little menthol with a lot of koolada.

One of my mixes that's always ready is Black Honey Tobacco, Dragonfruit and Green Tea.

FT has a good selection of center poly sections, and, iirc, the full M5s as well.

mind sharing your black honey tobacco recipe? I've been trying to find something to do with it. I've made some decent stuff, but nothing mind blowing. I just love the way it smells!

Black Honey Tobacco and Dragonfruit are TFA, Green Tea brand isn't real critical ime, I've used a couple.

Start with 5% of each flavor, and adjust to taste :)

Good shake and vape, and then gets better.
