@ToolmanTexas This is bizarre, i just tried an acrylic tank on the SJMY Doggy and it fits perfectly. The SXK Doggy tank would not fit on the SJMY. So the acrylic tank fits both the SJMY and the SXK Doggystyle. Maybe the replacement SXK tank i tried on the SJMY had screwed up threads? It has me baffled.

Battery is probably ok. You've not said what mod, but most regulated ones will time out, shut off, then restart. The electronics should have prevented any harm to the battery.

But do remember to turn the device off in the future :)
it's a kangertech regulated mod,
but i got concerned as it seems to be a very simple one:
first,i was surprised it fired that type of coil in TC.
and it only has lock +- buttons/reverse screen and shut down options.

i will definitely start shutting it down from now on.

tge lead woukd fall below the end of tge screw.
Yeah, hate when that happens. I hear they make pills for that.

Oh, wait, you said it would fall below the end of the screw, I completely misread that. I thought you said before. Never mind then.

Argh!!!! Just tried to check on the tracking for an FT order and it says "access denied". Never seen that before.

FYI, if you plan to order from FT at this time the tracking issue with Singapore Post that I had problems with when I posted the above is still going on. Not that I can do much about it but it's a real PITA Because I expect an electronic shipment and temps are in the high 90s. So if tracking is really important to you you might want to wait a while.

I got the Pico atty. Took one look at tge chimney and said NOPE. Not for me and sold it on eBay

What was it about the chimney that made you pass on it? Material or design? You had the authentic pico? I have the aftermarket chimney for it which is a steel micro chamber and it's still not great and a pain to build.

The thing is this tank looks a lot like he pico when using clr. I like that they angled the bottom for better wicking with the clr coils. But it looks like it would produce the same flavor and density as the pico with clr setup. If you look at the top cap it is very very similar.

So you rebuild the drop in coils? I imagine there are tutorial videos on YouTube?

Oh, I'm sure I can find you just the right one, dearling. ;)

You lot are nuts! There's not enough hours in the day for me to keep up with this thread!

Is Krisma slippin'? Didn't she warn ya?

Keep up? Does anyone actually do that? I just randomly pick one of the pages I missed, quote a couple people, then move to the last page. That way everyone thinks I was keeping up.;)

PREzactamente, Sir Kadley. You learned from the OPs.

OTOH, some of us have read every post of all 3 episodes ... mind, some have been umm ... interesting (pink water heaters for instance) ;)

Oh you're GOOD, gt!!!!!!!! Any other tidbits of useful info come to mind?

Recommend these for KFL clones for catching the wire better (flat bottom), don't know if they will fix Rain's issue with shorting:

You da man, Tex. Those are the screwies!!

my mod accidentally fired in my pouch in TC the nautilus bvc coil,
i don't know for how long, but the smell in the tank was horrible.
so obviously i through the coil and liquid away,

do you think it had some effects on the 18650 battery, something i should be concerned with?

I doubt your batt was affected, but I'd be more concerned with the electronics. You know the ol' vaper saying...... when it doubt, throw it out!

I tried taking that Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics course years ago, but there was too much reading involved.

    GMTA, kiddo.

Then just look at the pictures.

    LOL!!!!!!!! Works fer me!!!!!!

So you rebuild the drop in coils? I imagine there are tutorial videos on YouTube?
There sure are and they make it really easy.

I have no problems winding coils…they're easy. But I gave up building RBA after I spent many frustrating hours trying to tighten the coils under the screws and then getting the darn cotton right so the tank wouldn't leak. I read every post about every problem I had and tried the solutions. Some worked some didn't.

Then I took apart some of my used GS Air coils and with @Cheechako excellent video I rebuilt them. Easy peezy! @Shawn Hoefer's CLR video, also excellent, showed me how to rebuild CLRs which are similar to the GS Airs except that the top screws on. Again, easy peezy.

Of course you can always buy them ready made…at least for now.

I haven't read an entire book since I left school 38 years ago.
I read at least one each week!

Have you checked the positive post.
Not really. Think I'll tear them all the way down and build them back up, see if any of the screws I have in my atty bits box would work better.
