Well, personally, I don't know why you'd spend $250 on a MTL set up.

But you'd spend that on a direct lung kit? What's the point here ? Different gear has different costs. Some people like nice stuff that's wel made to last into he vapeocalypse. Cheap mods don't last typically.

3 sxk billets, 2 dna 40 and 1 sxk 70... running the exocet clone w KF5 reducer and it's excellent.. in the high end rta range for me and a great mtl vape.

I didn't realize you could run the kf5 reducer with the Exocet clone. That is he bridge id be looking at I think.

So do you think it's worth getting the authentic dna40 now or should I just buy a clone and save money. Especially with DNA clones coming for half that price. Or try to get an authentic dna60 which they left the USB off so a lot of he benefits are removed.

Ok so I have. Chance to buy a dna 40 billet box for below retail but my thought is the price is so close I may as well try to buy a new one. Just keep having the f5 wars. It’s a tmnt with mother of pearl button for $250. No bridge included.

What bridge are those Of you with billet boxes using? The billet box is hard to get and expensive. But I’d be buying a generation old one for a few bucks below cost. So is it worth it? I can’t see using it with the nautilus bridge because then I just have a Very expensive all in one running nautilus coils. It’s. A lot of money and I’m on the fence so I’d like to know what you all think of the price and bridge options that work well for mtl.

I'm still a fan of the oldest & simplest of the bunch, the BVC Bridge. Not too many left of my ilk though, as far as I know.

Form factor and indestructibility used to be the biggest draws, but the form factor now has competition that doesn't require dedicated stuff (Xvo for example), and the DNA chip addition removed the indestructible aspect that the Rev3s had.

They're great mods if you can swing it, and nice to pocket. Personal decisions, these.

I'm certainly willing to give it a go.

Yep, that's the only way for you to decide :)

As with any new wick material, there's a small learning curve. Keep in mind that rayon needs to be tight.

raise the nic.

I started at 18, dual used. Went to 24 and became an ex-smoker. Dropped back down to 18 some time later, where I reside :)

I think his nicotine strength is too liw or he needs an ejuice witg whole tobacco alkaloids

@RainSong

Have you considered getting him a juul or similar to start? With the tobacco flavor pods? Or an icare go with some 46 mg salt juice?

We're i in your shoes I'd be simplifying down to get him started. I'd use a closed pod system with high mg. Easy fill so all he has to do is recharge it really. And then as he progresses you can build on it. He may never want to be a hobby vaper. He may want to just vape simple like smoking is and then quit everything.

I personally have the cync setup which you can get locally at vapor vortex and it's far cheaper than the juul. It works very well for smoking cessation and two pods are ten bucks at vv. The draw is close to a cigarette as is vapor output. They have some 1.5ml very high my pods and the tobacco from njoy is about as close as it gets to really smoking. As is the menthol.

I hope this helps. I'd just simplify. And make t more fulfilling and more like smoking. With so many addictive chemicals in cigarettes nicotine is a very small part of the addiction but using the 36-46 mg salts certainly satiates that craving and it's no more difficult than lighting a smoke.

The stealth battery is he battery I have. They're cheap. I'd buy two of them since one doesn't last a day. It's tiny and can fit in the zippo pocket in jeans.

Foran open system the icare go is an option but I hi k he cync is a better vape for smokers.

Doesn't vapor vortex have a shop out by you?

@h00ligan

I don't have a billet box, but I did A LOT of research at one point in time. my conclusion was that they weren't worth the hassle of getting one. of course, this is just MY opinion.

if I didn't have to play "F5 wars" I would have dropped 300 bucks on one probably.

again, this is just MY opinion, no one beat me up. lol.

I'm of your ilk, DPL. I happen to prefer the BVC Billet Bridge, tho the Nauti Bridge is also quite good. A bit more work in the placement and installation, but it's tasty-tasty.

I doubt anyone can tell you with any certainty if it will be "worth it" to you. For me, it was. But that was then and this is now. It's unanswerable, Hools.

PS. I prefer the generation old B Box to the new ones.

And I don't know why you would not. :)

I took a look. Meh. I have the Kangertech EVOD Pro to fit that niche.

Excellent. As THAT is what matters (that you like something better than Marlboro, Newport, etc..).

There is no "correct" way (mod, coil, juice or practice) of vaping. "Vaping" is the only qualifier.

if anyone vapes differently than me, they're obviously wrong.

Different "niche", just by the way, but irrelevant. Keep on vapin' - that's what counts.

I took a quick look after typing in "JAC" and "vape." Came across this:
