Depends. I stocked 100mg nic. IF this change to the dooming holds, well, I don't have to buy nic at any price for many years. States may/will still try to tax vaping to death.

Being a tootler, I stocked up on "low" power mods (less than 100 watt ;) ) when they went for fire sale prices as the cloud makers grew in favor. Won't have to buy another mod for about 20 years, unless there's one that really catches my eye. (OOOHHH!! SHINY!!).

All over the last few years, so I never had to bust my budget. Those new to vaping, of course, didn't have that option. Now it seems they (and we) have at least a reprieve on the Federal level. So they still have a chance to become ex-smokers. :rickroll:
Spot on.

It is good but(!) we don't know HOW it will all end up. To me it means that All new to vaping have time to figure things out and still stock up.

We still need to get the grandfather date changed. We CANNOT let up on our Representatives. It Needs to be changed by Congress or else any new President can put into place a new FDA leader that will follow through with that Administration's agenda.

Hopefully with this new stance the FDA is taking, will help get more Represetatives on board with the changing of the Grandfather date

THIS.

We've (at least most of us) have taken care of our own personal vape needs for life. But now we truly may have the chance to be joined by a HUGE group of now smokers!

THAT is heart-warming to me.

Here is the actual FDA link: FDA's New Plan for Tobacco and Nicotine Regulation

The timing on this might be wonderful for us here in Australia. We have federal enquiries just about to review and regulate vaping and ENDS so hopefully your FDA annoouncement will actually throw some much needed sensible regulations into the ring.

I hope this helps you too. Between UK's stance loosening up and this.....*crossing fingers!*

the UK & NZ stance is diametrically opposite to how the FDA deeming viewed the industry and it seemed as though Australia was heading to the USA model. they have held all the consultations and submissions to the enquiry closed at the beginning of this month. Thankfully they have not drafted their findings just yet

Don't know if it means anything, but the Billion Lives people are indicating on Facebook that there is more going on behind the scenes than is being said publicly, and in their words the deeming is dead.
I'll withhold judgement on that unless or until they offer up something more substantial than hints, but thought I'd throw it out in case anyone is hearing whispers from other sources also.

@ToolmanTexas - But it says they're "Styled"...which means clones, right?
Most definitely a clone of the Billet (made by SXK)... BUT, this clone has an authentic evolv DNA 60 chip.

There is another SXK version of the Billet that has an SXK chip, and it costs less of course.

Still, it is indeed encouraging! Thanks for sharing.

Well, if they're clones, doesn't that help explain the following, since clones aren't allowed on the Classies?

That's cheaper than anyplace I've seen, except 2nd hand in classies.

Not trying to be argumentative...just wondering about spending $100+ on a clone. Then again, I don't know "diddly" about the various DNA chips and their importance in the equation. ;) If I did...maybe I'd know why the clones were a good deal at that price. Just wondered about anything from FT that's "styled"...being worth that much $$.

    Not ECF classies :)

No doubt, a great question. The price of an Evolv DNA 60 chip is $50 (retail, before shipping), so that is why the high price of this particular device.

SXK usually makes fairly solid equipment and is one of the more trusted China manufacturers.

Better to save your pennies and buy the authentic? Ha, I'll let others discuss that but I do believe that use of the clone causes authentic Billet fever to go up by about 99 degrees LOL. But that's just my opinion :)

Whether it's worth it, is prolly the most difficult question to answer. I suppose if someone really wanted a BBox and could not gather up the funds to buy an authie, perhaps it might be.

No, you're right that clones are not allowed in the Classies. I believe that T Tex meant that you can't find a B Box at all for less than those FT prices, other than an authentic used one (from the Classies). (Correct me if I'm wrong, Tex.)

Ooops. Hadn't see your post!

Just gotta ask, $129 for a clone when you can get an authentic for about 40 bucks more, and customer service here in the USA, or you can get a blem for about $121.00, why?
An authentic seems to be easier to get than in the past. Just wondering.

Just to be clear... $100, not $129.

The rest of your question I would have to leave to others with more knowledge. I've only seen authentics for $250 plus, not $170 and the blems for still over $200 but it's quite possible I missed something. I know for sure that SXK is selling a ton of these devices so if the price point is as close as you say somebody is missing it.

The Aiolos is not reverse treaded, I used circlip pliers, not to bad to get it apart, but it needed a bit of force.
Needed to open up the air a little.
The positive post is a brass one, and on mine it was pretty dark, so it is good to take it apart now and then, and give it a good clean.
I tried the Exocet today - good, but I prefer the Insider. Will try a few different builds, and see.
I scored a Piccoloid today - Spheroid v4 and Piccolo v 2 - Hopefully I get it next week, got it from a nice gentleman on UKvapers

OK, I got it about how the DNA chip accounts for $50 of the $100. I also get it that SXK makes good equipment and is a trusted manufacturer.

But, please correct me if I'm wrong...if it's a clone, SXK didn't make it? So you'd end up with a very highly regarded $50 DNA chip...but the rest of the whole mod/kit could be made by who knows and at what quality...for $100?

Wouldn't that be like having the inner workings of a Provari 2.5 put inside any other manufacturer's tube...then calling it a Provari Styled 2.5 Mod for $100...the same type of deal?

So, lefty loosey... is that correct?

That sucker is in there tight for sure, the Gus team told me to send it in :)
I had the opposite problem, I wanted to tighten airflow so I put a toothpick in one of the holes.. can't get it out now LOL.

I tried the Exocet today - good, but I prefer the Insider. Will try a few different builds, and see.
I prefer the Exocet because I can put the KFV5 MTL kit in there and it tightens it up very well. Building Exo is also super easy and so far has been leak proof if I wick it right.

SXK is the manufacturer. They physically made the clone in their factory and installed a DNA chip in it.

Fasttech (and others) are the retailers that are selling the SXK made device.

    Does that help?

Yep! That helps, but opens up another question for me then. If SXK did actually make it...then why does it have the designation "Styled" in its name on FT?

I always thought, on FT...that "Styled" meant it was purposely put there to alert people that the product was not made by the specific company in its name! But rather was copied (cloned) from it! I'm so confused now.
