Hello tootle puffers, hope you've all been well. I've been having problems with signing & thought I'd drop by.
Back on my nautilus mini & off the sub ohming again an I am now cigarette free :)
Hey! I wondered where you were. Glad to see you back and congrats on being cig free!

I thought I was wrong, once. Turns out I was mistaken.

And you've been missed too. Good to see you back here!

Here's a little story you'll like...

My Son...25...Is a lightish less than 1/2 pack a day smoker...I bring it up gently on occasion that it would be a great idea if he could quit before he became a walking chimney like his Dad...Was...When I told him I'd QUIT he was shocked and I explained that I had fully transitioned to vaping only...He told me that he had vaped on occasion in the past...Said "Dad ya' know that juice runs $20 a bottle"...I explained that he could easily get juice for less than $7 (30ml) on line and considerably less than that in any reasonable volume...He also mentioned his gear was old and didn't really ever work very well...Ahhh...So there's the excuse...I can fix that...$$$...

"If I buy you some new gear and some juice would you give it try"..."Ya' I'd like that"...I just spoke with him...He received 2 Batteries / 4 Clearos / 3 x 30 ml juice / 2 Chargers / 3 Blunt Tip Filler Caps...And seems pleased...

Aside from smoking he's quite intelligent...And it's my guess when he fully realizes the $$$ part of the equation that will be the end of his smoking...I hope !!!...I love Pull'in The Purse String when it counts...!!!

And...He doesn't know it...But his gear qualifies him to be a Tootle Puffer !!!...We Shall See...Trig :D
Great dad!

It is heart warming and any time he wishes, he's welcome here. I believe someone here pointed out a good starter kit....I would wholeheartedly encourage you to give it a try. You will be amazed at the difference. I started with cig-alikes...several times. It never really took, I kept going back to cigs, a couple of packs a day. Several years ago I told my wife I'd like to give vaping a try. She picked up her car keys and said: are you coming? ....where is the store? She walked in with me and then told me to get what I needed, she'll be more than happy to pay for it. I was lucky to find a store with people willing to guide me in the right direction. I walked out a couple of hours later with an istick 30w and a couple of nautilus tanks, a couple of packs of coils and 30 ml of juice. The store owner said the juice is on the house, he was happy to convert another smoker. Needless to say, this time it took, I never had a relapse. I pif'd the istick and one of the tanks, I kept the other as a reminder.
It was @pufZeppelin

Thats reason enough for a party. The early days are harder than those that come later. In May i celebrated my four year vaperversary and 19 months being nicotine free.

Last week went out with friends. Both smoked like chimneys. I happily vaped and did NOT want a stinky

@Trigster ...you can do it buddy...oh and congrats on the 12 days! That is a GREAT accomplishment..... Quitting smoking is one of the toughest things I ever faced....... The good news is that if you get your vape gear dialed in to provide a "smoke like" experience/sensation and if you get your juices adjusted properly then you will soon hardly think about tobacco and you will wonder why/how you were ever addicted to the nasty things (cigarettes).

I have had similar experiences, tobacco free evenings with politic, beer and football arguments. In fact the lovely Mrs CMD still smokes, I have no temptation.

Exactly the way it was for me.

Now cigarettes smells like rags burning. PHEW!

My coils last 2 1/2-3 months. My juice is gunky so i dry burn the coil every time i replace the wick.

Similar for me, 2B, although I don't track coil life, and not all my mixes gunk quite that fast.

Used to tell my students (electrician apprentice) the only dumb question is the one one you don't ask - because 110,000 volts really doesn't care what you don't know, and you only get one wrong answer

And you've been missed too. Good to see you back here!

I'm not really back yet. I'm more a premonition of the shawnness to come... the ghost of hoeferisms yet to come... a fogment of your imagination.

When do you know when it's time to replace a coil?
( after dry burning and rewicking)
That's what I'm trying to find out, mine right now are a month old.

I only replace when the coil actually breaks.... or I accidentally cut the leg when clipping the rayon to get it out
