What gauge wire do you use. 26 is tge gauge i prefer. Sub ohm builds are hard to build on 28 or 30 gauge wire.

My juice and vape temp works perfectly for me with .8 ohms and 8 watts with 26 gauge kanthal. Plus extra durability of the coil.

I tried 25 gauge. Too slow to heat up.

I tried 28 gauge every decent coil came out at 1.2-1.35. And a few times i wrecked the coil getting the wick out.

I dont want to have to build every 4-6 days.
I use 28g around 1.2-1.4ish

What i figured but my sweet spot for my diy juice is a narrow window window .79-.97.

Thats why my Provari Mini goes unloved.

I'm a flavor chaser. Thats what keeps me vaping at 0mg/ml after giving up nicotine about 1.5 years ago.

between here and there
They do a lot better for me due to the screw head compared to the screws that came with my nectar. My screwdriver would always slip.
Are these the same size as the Nectar deck screws?
:)

The bigger the wire cross section diameter, the lower the resistance. The bigger the wire length, the higher the resistance. There now, it's clear as mud!

You are correct ... The longer a length of wire is then the more obstacles (other atoms along with their covalent bonding) that the electrons slam into on their way from one end of a wire to the other end. This of course, means that the resistance to the flow of electricity (negatively charged electrons) is increased., So the longer the wire, the more difficult it is for electrons to travel from one point to another....

The opposite effect occurs whenever a wire of a certain length is made to have a larger circular diameter.... The resistance to the flow of electrons goes down because there is a larger space (diameter) for a given number of electrons to flow through... There is less resistance to their movement as they have more room to move around in....

The resistance of a wire is the exact mechanism that is responsible for wires heating up whenever electricity passes through them.... Electrons traveling through a wire will collide with many other sub atomic particles (that the wire is composed of) on their travel through the wire... These collisions produce heat through the simple process of friction.... That my friends, is exactly what causes the coils in your vape gear to heat and get hot....

    Very well said!

    Where is your nail polish?

I'm a little behind, what screws is he talking about?
    @Two_Bears were you answering me?

2 years? My Provari original from 6 years ago still works. I've got Kr808 280 mah batteries from Vape4life from 2009 that still work.

If the electronics fail in 2 years is most likely due to user neglect such as leakage of juice into the circuitry. That happened to me with one two mods, most notably my beloved 30 watt Eleaf.

Just so we're clear, I wasn't talking about provaris failing in two years.

I was talking about other low priced, less well made mods. And of course even on those lesser mods much depends on how and how much we use them. If used 24/7 or abused they will stop working much faster.

I have an istick mini 1050 mahs I've used almost daily for a couple hours for two years. Sadly the battery is no longer holding its charge as long and I'll probably retire it soon.

Rest assured, my dear Bea. My nails are no longer naked![emoji38]

Today starts a week of single parenting for me as hub is on a business trip. I wonder if my ejuice consumption will increase?! [emoji38]

The juice consumption should remain the same. I see a few empty wine bottle instead.

My fellow TP'ers. I'm taking suggestions for a 2 battery mod. I currently own 2 mods with double batteries, the Smok M80+ and the Smok R200. Both of which I like but also want to try something different with the same price range (under $50)
