A creepy Uber driver dude has been stalking one of the girls where I work :sneaky: Keeps calling the spa and coming in to see if she needs a ride, unsolicited. She reported him to Uber and he's been blocked from seeing her ride notifications but still, just creepy.
Scary

gotcha - - sending , lawyers guns and money... :danger:

Appropriate selection. Throw in a werewolf song and we're got a PERFECT companion for the day's events! :headbang:

I'm not getting in an Uber, not in South Tucson.

Formalized hitchhiking. With an app!

Dear DP,

I am a bail bondsman in Nigeria. I will send you a check for you to put in your bank account if you will send me a small handling fee to start the process. Ten Thousand will do nicely.

Thank you,
Prince Nakamaura

Phwew! Finally paid off, this "relationship".:banana:

Yeah... That type of stuff happens far too often and unless Uber caves to fingerprinting requirements (and I don't think they well, and that doesn't always solve it) it's likely to continue. That driver ought really to be fired, not simply blocked. If it continues, I wouldn't hesitate to encourage her to get a restraining order, he's not "working". At least on the bus (equally spine chilling at times) I have the loud yell and *freakout to all get out* mode and there are other people to witness it...

Although, U of A students use Uber a lot around here at night and that's a good thing. A friend of mine drives for Uber on occasion and some drunk student got in with a guitar case muttering darkly about some professor doing him wrong and "wanting to shoot up the campus." My friend politely asked what was in the case and was told, "A shotgun." My friend (bigger cojones than me) calmly drove him to campus security. They took care of it from there, though we didn't hear anything about it on the news, so it looks like they didn't want it advertised, which probably for that student is a *good thing*.

What are the gun laws like in Arizona? Can she obtain an inexpensive firearm and train with it to increase her knowledge/skill/proficiency? My older daughter carries a nice compact pistol with her. She's an RN. So if some :censored: were to attempt to molest her at least she'd try to keep him alive on the way to the hospital. So he'd have that going for him, I guess.

Under the eyes of the law everyone is (or should be) equal. In a society though everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. I was raised a certain way. I have also developed my own moral code as I have aged, through experience and exploration. This includes the concept that those who possess much have an obligation to share with those who are in need, those who have wisdom have an obligation to share it, those who are emotionally tough have an obligation to offer support to those who are going through hard times, those who are physically strong have an obligation to protect people who are being bullied. This is, in part, what I consider being a "good" person. As much as I endorse the idea of of males and females being treated equally in the eyes of the law the biological fact is that males tend to be physically stronger than females. A good man takes that into account and adjust his behavior accordingly. An evil man takes advantage of that, and perpetrates evil. Screw that. Even the playing field.

The firing button is the battery cover on one side :)

That is an awesome mod. Will update to 120 watts, does TC on everything, and will run at 75 watts with one battery installed. Because the cells are in parallel configitation, battery life is nice, too.

Puffing on it now! I like that the whole side is a fire button! Batteries are MUCH easier to install than my R200 (what a pain it is to get the battery compartment back in). I am happy with this purchase!

Wow, that's a fast accumulation! It seems it was only yesterday you started!

It does seem fast, doesn't it? But I'm not that surprised, actually. When I first started on ECF I pretty much went out and purchased all suggestions, ignoring the pleas of wise, experienced members telling me to slow down (I did the same with DIY...went absolutely crazy procuring flavors!)

That's a good start!:D

Regardless of the clunkers, you probably spent what you would have on smokes anyway, and look at that fine stable of variety you now have!

That's a win in my book!

You know, I was thinking the same thing as I was trying to sleep last night. I thought of all the flavors, all the tanks and devices I purchased and how many of them didn't work out for me. And I thought "wow!" most of those are the price of one or two packs of cigarettes so I haven't wasted any money because I still haven't had a cigarette!

We couldn't see anything. Totally overcast :(

You didn't miss much. We had to kill some chickens because we couldn't find any virgins to sacrifice. The gods gotta be appeased, you know. Otherwise they might keep the sky dark and all the crops will die.
