Have you got one of those credit card sized or bigger, advertising, stick-on-your-fridge magnets, that companies send you sometimes? Hold it flat and run it across the area of carpet where you dropped it, and it'll pick up that tiny screw.
IME, all the vaping screws I've tried to retrieve were not magnetic - this has worked only for iphone/laptop screws

It has been brought to my attention, that regarding my post to ChelsB about the *small screw in the carpet*...I apparently should've either:

1) said this instead - ..."it might pick it up", or

2) posted the following disclaimer immediately after it - "This suggestion was posted in an attempt to provide only a possible solution to said problem. There are no guarantees, implied or otherwise, that following said suggestion will result in the locating and retrieval of any/all possible types of screws."

I'll more carefully and thoroughly think about, and word, any future suggestions and/or possible solutions to problems...before I post them.

:D

ETA: Please pardon my delay in editing the above. I lost my @#(%$ dial-up internet connection. So I had to wait for re-connection and then for all the graphics above to reload before I could post my edits.

or 'if the screw doesn't appear on the magnet - it doesn't mean the screw is not there.'

Don't be like me a few weeks ago and keep believing the magnet is going to work, going over every nook and cranny of the garage with a magnet on my hands and knees for an hour, only to realize that the kayfun screws are not magnetized

Are we able to change our user name? I tried Alter when I signed up but it was rejected then tried again a few moments ago and there is no user with that name. If so can someone point me in the direction to see if I can change my name.

OILY CHIT...I just dropped by this morning and low-and-behold my user name got changed...WhooHoo.
That was fast. Thanks to Uncle, the staff or what/who's wizardry made this happen. Its gonna be a good day.

As for finding a small screw in a carpet. Put a couple old socks onto the hose then the crevis tool or whatever tool, made a grid of the area then vacuum a patch, look then vacuum the grid until you find the screw.

Completely forgot...was going to do that after our convo and fell off the radar!

This is a confirmed Erl Nano clone for $12.80 with coupon code "Aug20", with free shipping!. The pic looks like a full size but it is a booboo, this is a nano.

This is the only place we believe this atty is still available and if you want one and don't have one now is the time for this price!... no brainer, one of the best MTL RTAs of all time:
TOBECO ERLKONIGIN MINI RTA REBUILDABLE TANK ATOMIZER CLONE

2-3 years ago the Erlkonigin was one the most sought after high end RTAs around, way ahead of it's time... Optionally add the other one on FT to get the drip tip adapter (spare parts or replace orings for leak issues) and glass tanks if you want glass and think you will be very happy.
So what are we buying? Are you telling me this is a tootle tank, 22mm and has a glass tank option? I'd like to confirm that before I go pulling any triggers. But there's something wonky about the drip tip? Please fill me in?

Go high end.. get that purple radius :)
I love my Radius! I had to get a second one since the hubby loves my Radius too. A purple one sounds delightful.

Happy Vaperversary @ChelsB

Are you using v1 or v2?

I'm using the V2. I understand there's a V2A out now, that fixes the unstable resistance issue. The positive pin on the bottom screws on, and can come loose, causing the resistance to jump around. I think they used a different insulator in the V2A.

I the resistance jumped around on mine a bit, until I figured out what was causing it. Now, I just make sure it's tight, when I re-wick it. It's been stable ever since.

I started rebuilding on a paper plate, a long time ago. It saved me from playing screw hunt, on my hands & knees quite a few times!
I use a folded pillow case on top of a small towel to do all of my coil work.

The towel provides cushion and the pillow case provides smoothness and good visibility for dropped parts. ;)
