Here's a YouTube P. Brusardo review of the Siren 2...Kind'a lengthy but does go into comparisons on other tanks and has some good deck/build shots beginning at about the 20:00 time index...Also, aside from the Siren 2 and apparently the innokin Ares are there other tanks that have a similar post & horizontal screw configuration ???

EDIT: Drat...I had the wrong link...The one there now is the one I wanted...
PS...I did find the OBS & Wotofo but they seem dual coil...

That is the V1, not the newer V2 design. I just got my V1 siren today, not all that impressed to be honest. I will probably start a thread about my thoughts.
Thanks...Got myself cornfuseded...It's good now...Damn but he does do a lot of reviews !!!

I wonder what percent of vapers are MTL. It's probably more than product offerings reflect. It's frustrating but not surprising that there's no such thing as new MTL rda's. The rda I use is a years old design and I can't find anything else, older or newer, that's tempting. May be MTL and rda's will come back in fashion some day. Dream on.

Erl'ing it, sofarsogood. And totally so far so good. :thumb:

Thank You...They're so inexpensive I'll probably get several different coils...Just nice to attempt to start somewhere in the right place !!!...But the tank ???...Seems the Innokin will be out pretty soon and it does have a Siren 2 look about it...But the KFv5 Mini does have a larger capacity...I should probably stop squabbling about it and get one of each...

Absto. One of each sounds just about right to me.

Come join the partee, Paul. :)

There's an interesting post here at the bottom (#16) speculating that the Innokin tanks look to be in the 24mm size range...The Thumb Nail Below Is The Same Image...

Actually, Trig, Phil and Dimi have already announced that it's a 24mm. (sorrowfully)

Sorry I've been MIA.

It's been a rough week.

Started out by getting news that my Thursday, Friday, Saturday classes were moved to Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and I was no where near ready... scramble!!!!

The discovered that there was no confirmed number of students, so no way to know how many to prep for. Ugh!

Ended up teaching 32 students in 4 classes... that's about 10 hours bent over assisting little old ladies make brooms. My back will take another 3 months to heal, I'm sure.

The classes were so large, I could not teach in my shop. This meant I did not have access to all of my resources, or any backup (Stepdot usually helps).

Then, Stepdot - so inconsiderate - goes and catches the flu and has to take a day off... I was supposed to get a day off, damn it!

Of course, while taking said day off, she managed to not get better and infect The Wife.

This flu is BAD. I've never seen The Wife this sick.

Meanwhile, I had my staff in the shop make a sizeable mistake leading to the theft of about $200 worth of gear. And, I can't even be mad because it highlighted a gap in my training program. Damn!

Said staff then redeemed themselves by finishing out the best week in the store's history, so... and, by themselves as I was... am... otherwise occupied.

Otherwise occupied? Yeah... between classes and the broom shop, and the farm filled with critters and sick folk, I'm on a strict diet as I have to get alien probed next week. At least, I asked the doctor to dress as an alien so I'd have a story to tell.

Not everything has been horrible, though. We did get approved for a refinancing that will put us debt free about the time we retire... if we don't die first.

Oh, and *shock* I got new vape gear... a Geekvape Aegis, a stacked Broadside, and about a half dozen other mechs (really on a mech kick for some reason) and matching RDAs.

Hope y'all can forgive my absence... or was that abscess?

I think it's the nature of the equipment that is driving innovation. The higher Wattage stuff has a clear path to improvement. Make more powerful mods, design tanks with more/better airflow, create atomizers capable of firing at greater ranges, come out with batteries that can take heavier loads, that kind of thing. On the other hand flavor is subjective and there really isn't a lot of pressure on manufacturers to come out with more efficient MTL set ups. The stuff that's been out there for over a year still works for what it is designed to do. The innovation is happening at the beginner level to make it easier and easier for people to start, and it's happening at the higher power level to hook people who are into that.

I was afraid that was going to be the case...But the Siren 2 is looking good as I'm patiently waiting...And the KFv5 Mini & Reg / KF Prime / Doggy Style & others all seem to be viable options as well...Trig

24mm? Rats!! What were they thinking?
Catherine

They were thinking that that's what the market wants. And to be honest, that rather surprised me greatly (coming from Phil).

Me too! They have obviously done their research (?) Will be interesting to see how it goes.
