AnthonyB, good-a luck-a. Some of us here are long time vapers and vaperettes who also enjoy high PG (low wattage vaping) nic. And kartos rocked our world.

I've got kwite the stash of "old time" liquids but I'd be hard pressed to recommend any vendors that are current.

Hope you find what you like, and do keep us apprised!

I just realized you’re in Sydney. Shipping might be a killer. Have you tried any of the one shots from Chef’s (UK)? Or vape Train? Some of both have gotten good reviews

Thanks Nolamel!

Shipping is always a killer for those from Australia. It’s a normal part of life unfortunately. I often buy products from the US and try and stick locally when I can. The sticking point is usually not the price but vendors not shipping outside the North America continent.

I haven’t been able to purchase Ahlusion, one of my favorite vendors for years, by way of example.

I will take a look at your recommendations. Smokecignals looks okay. I imagine they are mid level juices given the price point and the mixtures but I can’t expect much more if I want juice for cartomizers.

I buy at lot from The Vapor Room, and they allow you to select your percentages for fresh juice. MyFreedomSmokes does the same. I use anywhere from 65-80% PG blends exclusively.

I just sent a note to Josh & Jess at TVR to ask if they ship international (because I do not know). I think their juices are extraordinary.

Thanks DP! Solid suggestions all round!

I remember TVR from ages ago. I will check out their site.

I buy my unflavoured nicotine from MFS and they did jump into my mind as a possibility for a fleeting second a week ago. I better check them out too!

That’s why I came to this thread. I figured tootle puffers would most likely be graced with the presence of grizzled veteran vapers who started life vaping from 280 mah KR808s or 304s with 24 mg FreedomsmokeUSA 80/20 Pg juices or using tea bag lining as carto filler in mega Ego drip tips lol

Personally, I used to like a good old 510 or 306 atty on a 650 mah battery but I was also partial to using an 801 atomiser on a KR808 battery with an adapter to get the best of the battery power and the atomiser.

Lipton tea bags anyone?

Well, it just so happens that The Vapor Room delivers to Australia. It is quite rare that a US based company only delivers to the US, Puerto Rico AND Australia only. In the address list there are only 4 countries listed. Australia is one of them. Very rare indeed. Did you have something to do with this? :)

Nice! I highly doubt I have that much influence with them, but am very glad to hear that serendipity smiles on Oz. :)

Comparing the two, I think you'll find that the quality of the former is a significant improvement over the latter.

Nothing against either, but if you're spending money based on a recommendation, I'd certainly prefer you be as pleased as possible with the results.

The owner was a chef at a noted high end New Orleans restaurant before he went commercial with his juices. I do find their flavor concentration a bit high for me, but ymmv. You can look for reviews of one shots on the diy recipe sites like eliquid recipes or all the flavors....theres a ton more out there. It’ll help you weed out the not so good one shots.

Himself has an office in New Orleans, and one in Brisbane at UQ (fortunately, he only comes your way once a year), but the cost of shipping stuff back and forth always makes me

How about these little vintage bad boys for turning the clock back to the age of dinosaurs way back to 2010.

Here are 3 KR808s I purchased from Vapor4life (anyone remember the great Wowboy and Cowboy from that vendor?) and one 280 mah 510.

That little fella on the end is now non-functioning
. HH357 from Avid Vaper. It was my last one.

Thanks Longo. Based on sixth sense I imagine you might be right.

The concern with a lot of these old school vendors is not that their juices aren’t or weren’t good, it’s that a lot of them have lost the drive and passion they had years ago. They often don’t turn their stock over and don’t throw out older inventory.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve purchased from a long term vendor and gotten juices that were 2-3 years old.

One of the notable exceptions are The Plume Room. Their juices continue to maintain the quality and freshness as they did several years ago.

If it's of any value, I've been buying from TVR straight through for almost seven years now. My most recent purchase was a few weeks ago, and they haven't lost even a tiny beat. Still as good as it ever was (IMO).

why is this thread so busy? Seems to be the only busy thread in ECF these days.

Anyway it seems I am getting no play on my post about advice on high PG liquids for the old style cartomizers. Being a long term vaper I still enjoy the occasional cartomizers and have many left over from 6-8 years ago.

Nowadays it’s hard to find suitably thin high PG liquids that are of a good quality.

I figured this would the thread to find some real grizzled veteran vapers that might know what a cartomizers is and what I am looking for.

Any suggestions?

What about Vaporfi? I’ve always overlooked them because they appear, on the face of it, to be a bit of a trap for new vapers who don’t know the value of vape gear. Though, their liquids appear to be of a high grade and have certification for being toxin free. Their juices can also be made in 70/30 PGVG which is what I need for cartos.

What about ECblends?

Any advice would be appreciated !

Somehow it posted before I added my text. So here goes.
VaporFi was ok, but not overwhelming. I liked their Catch Ya Latte, but that's too high VG for what you want.
EC Blends are ok too, but..
Truly, the high VG crowd has overwhelmed all else. That's annoying.

I think I’m sold ! I am looking forward to giving them a go. They aren’t too expensive (though price has never bothered me because cheap comes as a quality cost) and I like how there are a few tobaccos to choose from.

If they work in cartos and don’t taste like dishwater then I’m satisfied lol

I like how the site has some older tanks and coils.

Thanks again for the referral.
