Yeah man! When you say we're different you are right, as I was a two pack a day smoker for over 20 years. I tried the Provari/protank for my first e-cigarette but quickly learned I needed something better if I was to remain tobacco free. And then I discovered sub ohm vaping, and haven't looked back. That was about 2 years ago now..Today I'm completely satisfied and tobacco free, and of course, thats why I chose to vape in the first place..

24 years at one pack/day. My jobs have always kept me cut down, plus I've always been fairly active and outdoorsy.

Hence I probably don't need quite as much for a vape as you. Not that is matters as long as we keep on vaping.

And dang it, my coil just quit....

Not till I got into subohm vaping was my nicotine addiction completely satisfied... sucking on a pro tank might work for others but it did not work for me..

Not saying this to knock subohm vaping but have been wondering when I hear people say things like this.

I get the protank not working, but what else did you try? Did you try dripping? or a genny?

Nope, went straight from the Provari/protank into mechs and RDA's...learned about ohms law and battery saftey..dripping on a dual coil .21ohm build had a more efficient nicotene delivery than a protank ever could, producing the nic hit I was craving for. Wide open airflow was way better rather than the tight airflow sucking on the little 1.8 ohm coil in the protank..Today I enjoy running the awesome Crown subtanks as well as my various RDA's on my VW box mods...its all good and very enjoyable!

these two crowns are my favorite tanks today.. Good nicotine hit as well as awesome flavor at 70w with the .25 ohm stainless coils..

Welcome to the forum.
I'm a happy tootlepuffer going with GS Air 1.5 and Kabuki Tanks and I'm totally happy about it:banana:
I have a Subtank Mini too but I hardly use it coz I'm definitely a mouth to lung hitter. Direct lung hits just don't give "it" to me. Oh and also I've gotten over my nic addiction (I use 3mg juices only for the throat hit) so I'm vaping for flavor and throat hit now and that's what my 2 fav tanks provide me with. Not interested in clouds at all.

There are quite a few forums and topics here that are mainly populated by tootlepuffers :D

Honestly, I don't think higher than 20W is "advanced" or "better"; just different. There are several attys that require advanced building skills that excel under 20W.

I like vaping many different ways, but don't quantify advanced to number of watts required to run it, but rather skill required to build it.

So, I've been seeing this term all over the place. I Googled it http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Tootle+Puffer and got directed right back to this forum. [emoji297]

So apparently if I'm using anything with a 20w or less capacity and any tank with a coil resistance higher than 1 ohm - I'm tootle puffing.

Since my current set up is a basic 650mah battery with a Kangertech T3'D clearo, I'm tootle puffing. If I get my goal setup an Avail Vapor Squirt bix (20w) with a Nautilus Mini (my local B&M Avail store sells this as a kit for $60), I'll still be tootle puffing.

Why would this be a bad thing?

We had a thread started this weekend over in general discussion about this and several others in the past weeks. There is nothing wrong with being on an Ego with a Clearo or a mini mod with a more advanced glassomizer like the Nautilus Mini. My point of view is this like many others, if you are vaping, not smoking, and happy with what you are using, turn the other cheek to the snobby elitist that believe you are not vaping if you are not blowing room fogging clouds. Quite frankly, 3 years ago, 95% of us were a tootle puffing away and happy with what we had available at the time.

*Picks up his old iTaste VV3 and PT2 setup* *Puff Puff* vape on, be happy *humming and whistling to the tune of "Don't Worry Be Happy"

I also have an X6 mod..
I have an X7 battery that I put a V-Spot clearo on. The only thing I don't like about it is that since there's only one button to switch between the 3 voltage settings and power it on/off, it will take 15 'button presses' to power it off if it's in it's lowest power setting. Sometimes the battery and my mini mag light have to fight over the holster on my belt! Time for another (holster that is) I guess..

Papler, you can use ProTank 2 coils and replacement BVC's (non Nautilus) in your Subtank mini. I do rebuild my PT coils with 30 Kanthal and cellucotton to around 1.5-1.8 ohms, and right this minute am using an Aspire replacement BVC (1.5 ohm) at a "dare devil" .....9 watts! Ha! :)

That IS kind of a drag. My first one was better because the button stuck up farther, but I stripped the threads on it and had to get another one. This one the button doesn't stick up very far, so my solution to all that cycling button pressing is to just leave it set on low and forget about it. The only time I press the button is when I'm taking a puff. ;) I have several juices that taste REALLY good on that thing set on low, so I use those tanks on it, and just leave it on.

The button is not very 'feelable' but by now I know where it is so it's not really a problem for me. I used to always use the lowest voltage (3.6), but I'm experimenting with the other two (3.8, 4.2) since I've changed the PG/VG ratio (from 50/50 to 75/25) of my liquid. I almost always leave the thing on anyway, but that 'once in a while' can be frustrating once in a while, but we're only talking 2 or 3 seconds. Sometimes 3 seconds is a long time though..

It's all good fun. Am a tootle puffer and proud, 12watts on an aspire bvc or gs air 1.2, that's plenty of vapour for me. Easily substitutes for the combustibles, why go higher?

Each to their own, but do wonder about juice consumption and possible health issues when vaping so much flavouring, vg and pg.

Where to draw the line with tootling, I reckon under 15 watts and average airflow, anymore is into cloud chasing (all be it the lower end) territory.

Tried a subtank nano with 0.5 coil, too much juice consumed, begins to cost more than smoking, great fun for a while but practical considerations kicked in. Not to mention my beloved nets don't taste good when subohming.

Yet the trend is to higher watt vaping and clouds.
Just buy cheap juice or make your own. I do both and use subtank mini. I agree it does run through juice quick tho

I kinda found the other direction. I'm a flavor chaser. It seems the gift of vaping when compared to smoking. Right now I am swapping Golden Apple and Cinn-a-Bun and thinking to mix an ML or two to see how it is. Anyway, I still have a few sub-ohm-air producing tanks and when I direct to lung, the flavor just flies by.

I prefer to sit back on the porch rocker, look into the glass to see the color of the juice, "swish" it around in the glass, take a draw and feel the mixed flavors on my taste buds and finally let it out my nose. Whatever the watts, whatever the nic strength, I guess I am a tootler on the porch.

Don't I know it! LOL! That's why I'm happy to have discovered a way to comfortably use these .5 ohm coils without coughing up my shoes. ;) Seconds count, in my world, whether it's changing a voltage or taking a drag.

That's the "strange" part for me. Some of my flavors taste WAY better with low voltage and higher-ohm coils. And some that taste just bland in those really pop with the sub-ohm coils. It's something I'm having to learn as I go. Maybe some day I'll figure out the key to it all, and be able to know beforehand that such-and-such flavors taste better at low power than others, but for now, I'm having fun experimenting with all of it. :)

Not keen on making own juice a. Happy with the nets I buy b. Not happy handling concentrated nicotine, though could buy premixed without flavour which leads to c. I only vape naturally extracted tobacco and don't want to get into extracting my own nets.

Also prefer the more smoking like experience of tootle puffing to the more extreme blowing clouds. Not to say I will never use the subtank again, but likely as an alternative rather than the norm.

Having said that can understand folks getting more immediate nic hit from subohming.
